Well the videos and news reporting clearly shows 5,000 rockets from Gaza raining down on Israel. Captured Israeli soldiers being beheaded by Hamas. Israeli men, women, and children being kidnapped by Hamas. Hang gliders traveling over Israel that are piloted by Hamas as the terrorist are shooting Israeli civilians. Hamas threatening to kill the civilian hostages. Hundreds of Israelis have been killed by the Hamas attack. So why do we see people on the news who defend Hamas?

Supporting terrorism and anti-Semitism has become very fashionable among “free thinking” intellectuals. Look at Harvard University with its 31 terrorism supporting groups. “Thinking out of the moral box” shows “intelligence.”

A few terrorism supporters might simply be trolls who thrive on pissing people off.

The situation is similar to what is happening in the Ukraine and the same needs to be said for those who defend Russia.

Here we go with that stupid “your either with us or against us” bs. Ssdd. I refuse to look at anything beyond the individual anymore. Picking sides, categorizing, etc, just leads to an endless cycle of death.
This is just going to lead to years of more hating Muslims, or Russians, or Chinese, or Iranians, whether they had anything to do with the violence or not.

people see Muslims dancing in the street on a camera chanting “death to the USA”, and then assume all Muslims hate us. Of course they look at the things that get said in our media, calling all Muslims evil, and they assume all Americans hate them.

sheer stupidity on all sides that leads to all the tragedies in the world today.

“nobody is right, if everybody’s wrong…”

Can you point me to the mass condemnation of Hamas and this attack by any prominent Muslim groups?

I suppose it's a case for context. Those who find that the terrorists are justified, and this is the crucial element here, will believe that no heinous act is too grotesque to support. It is all in the name of "freedom" or "self determination" or some other crap. And what they fail to get is that their support seems ridiculous. To suggest that no horror is off the table in the support of that determination essentially violates those same folks judgements of anyone else using tactics like the ones the reserve for their freedom fighters. It's insane.

There is no context where raping a child's corpse is justified.

I totally agree. It should be used as a standard to frame those who continue to support the barbaric behavior of these terrorists.

There is no context to this attack and anyone justifying it is insane. Palestinians could have peace anytime they want. Don’t elect terrorist psychopaths to represent you. Stop wanting to erase a country off the map. Live in peace with those who have repeatedly given you chance after chance after chance. Think the chances are over now.

This also provides an awesome opportunity for the righties to falsely claim that the left is soft on Hamas and is riddled with antisemites and that Biden-bad.

It's kind of disgusting that the righties here are using these horrific actions by a terrorist group to further their own political and social agenda.

Hamas didn't engage in war, they are not 'fighters' they massacred unarmed civilians.

'the death toll from Hamas' weekend attacks had surpassed 1,000, dwarfing all modern Islamist attacks on the West bar 9/11.'

'The victims were overwhelmingly civilians, gunned down in homes, on streets or at a dance party. Scores of Israelis and some foreigners were captured and taken to Gaza as hostages, some paraded through the streets.'

    https://www.reuters.com/world/middl...tives-if-israel-strikes-civilians-2023-10-09/

Raping, parading, slaughtering civilians are war crimes. Do we hear much noise from the Left about Hamas' war crimes?

' The stench of corpses was heavy in the air.'

'"You see the babies, the mothers, the fathers, in their bedrooms, in their protection rooms and how the terrorist kills them. It's not a war, it's not a battlefield. It's a massacre," said Israeli Major General Itai Veruv, escorting journalists at the scene.'

'"It's something that we used to imagine from our grandfathers, grandmothers in the pogrom in Europe and other places."'

'"We kiss the hands of those who planned the attack on the Zionist regime," Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said in a televised speech wearing a Palestinian scarf'

Wrangle your team then. Call out your terrorist loving squads. Check your team before you cast out against others.

Same reason some Americans support Putin “raining down “ on Ukraine.

Supporting Hamas or Putin is the same thing , both are guilty and enemy of humanity.

This is the problem with Muslim world. They never, ever condemn their own. They are very quick to tell everyone “ Islam is religion of peace”, but they never condemn Islamic terrorist.

What would that achieve other than an endless war of insurgency waged by the Palestinians? As it is Gaza has essentially been under Israeli, arguably oppressive, control for 15 years.

Israel’s continuing oppressive and discriminatory system of governing Palestinians in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) constituted a system of apartheid, and Israeli officials committed the crime of apartheid under international law. Israeli forces launched a three-day offensive on the occupied Gaza Strip in August during which they committed apparent war crimes. This compounded the impact of a 15-year ongoing Israeli blockade that amounts to illegal collective punishment and further fragments Palestinian territory. Israel escalated its crackdown on Palestinians’ freedom of association. It also imposed arbitrary restrictions on freedom of movement and closures that amounted to collective punishment, mainly in the northern West Bank, ostensibly in response to armed attacks by Palestinians on Israeli soldiers and settlers. The year saw a rise in the number of Palestinians unlawfully killed and seriously injured by Israeli forces during raids in the West Bank. Administrative detentions of Palestinians hit a 14-year high, and torture and other ill-treatment continued. Israeli forces demolished al-Araqib village in the Negev/Naqab for the 211th time. A further 35 Palestinian-Bedouin towns in Israel were still denied formal recognition and residents faced possible forcible transfer. Authorities failed to process asylum claims for thousands of asylum seekers, and imposed restrictions on their right to work.

    Background
In March, the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the OPT determined that the “political system of entrenched rule” in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip “satisfies the prevailing evidentiary standard for the existence of apartheid”. In November, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to adequate housing reached the same conclusion in relation to Israel’s policies of home demolitions. Some states, including South Africa, condemned Israeli apartheid, echoing statements by Palestinian, Israeli and international human rights organizations. Despite this growing recognition, Israel continued to enjoy impunity thanks to the support of its key allies.

In October, the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel, concluded that the occupation of the OPT is unlawful due to its permanence and Israel’s measures to annex Palestinian land in law and in practice. In 2022, such measures included retroactive authorization of settlement outposts, including by the Israeli Supreme Court.

It appears as though you are criticizing your own reflection with this post. We already know where the parties lean on Israel. Parties aside, there is only one tiny strip of land in the region where it is save to be Jewish, Christian, American, gay, non-Muslim, atheist, critical of government/religion, etc. This mindless act of violence will end up making that strip of land a little bigger.
