"Rose Tattoo frontman turned anti-carbon tax campaigner Angry Anderson has joined the National Party and says he is interested in standing for a seat at the next federal election." http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-10-02/angry-anderson-joins-national-party/3205788/?site=sydney A bald ex-rocker getting into politics. Couldn't hurt, could it?
Don't hold back ian, ... what do you really think? I did a little work with Gary back in the '80s (touring in the north with Rose Tattoo). He was a nice guy back then, and was quiet and reserved when not on stage. I must say, in recent years I haven't liked what I've seen of him. Then again, working in commercial TV can have an awful effect on people (especially hanging around Ray Martin). Anyway, one bald ex-rocker in parliament is enough for now.
Whilst some are irrelevant, egotistical loud mouthed, little twits....that know one has heard of. LOL, do you play music Ian?
he overseen a scheme that has been the driving force behind changing the words of his song from "beds are burning" to " houses are burning" he is a knobhead.. good to see you got it.
When I first heard this I thought it was a joke. When I heard it was real, I still thought it was a joke. Dont mind a bit of Rose Tattoo though, hehe... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZZnhBQXRaI"]Rose Tattoo - We Can't Be Beaten (1982) - YouTube[/ame]
If he had been in agreement with your "ideas", you`d be rubbing on his ankle like a frisky little fox terrior.
He should stick to the odd cameo appearance in the "Pizza" series. That seems more at his level. Couldn't stand the Tats. Hated the music. So colour me prejudiced to boot. National Party... anti-carbon tax... creepy.
Actually it would be more like a great dane on a fox terrier. Regardless of which I agree with some of the Nationals policies if this is what you are getting at.
Quite a disturbing mental image there Ian. In all seriousness, can you see the benefit in not taking a knee jerk approach to the CCCC (carbon caused climate change) issue? Some of us are far from convinced on this issue. For example : There are those who, if looking to buy a second hand car from a dealer, and the final purchase decision came down to the choice of two cars, a red car, and a blue one. The red car having rusted panels, numerous dents, flat tyres, a klaged gearbox and engine, while the blue one being in excellent condition, and half the price, would grab the red one every time.
I didn't know he did that. I'll keep an eye out for him. I enjoyed the Tatts, especially when John Meyer was in the band (superb guitarist). Bad. Good.
Im in favour of the carbon tax, not bcause I think it is going to make any significant difference to climate change in our lifetimes. We live an extremely wasteful lifestyle in this country which is simply unsustainable. We cannot continue to be the prolific wasters of resources and continue to pollute our environment with non biodegradable consumable items which we are currently doing. Our grandchildren will curse us and deservedly so. I view the carbon tax as the first step on the road towards a more sustainable and cleaner future.
Yeah, I'm bigoted against fat men with tats... that sing like crap. I will own that one. Feast the eyes on these stupendous lyrics... enough to make one overwhelmed with awe and wonder... I mean, what an absolute pile of dung... Thirty days in the county jail Let me out and I just wanted to wail Some fool tried to hold me down I got drunk and I ripped up the town I'm a bad boy...a bad boy for love I'm a bad boy...a bad boy for love Well I...I went around just to see my chick I found her room and it was candle lit She's makin' love to another man I shot 'em both and they locked me in the slam I'm a bad boy...a bad boy for love I'm a bad boy...a bad boy for love ^^ Perfect resume for politics, aint it? Maybe he ran a fish and chips shop, sometime, too.
I don't get why celebrities go into politics. It's like they get sick of being well-liked and popular.
Really? You admit that you are bigoted against someone for their body shape, sex, and musical ability? OINK?
As you stated Ian, a carbon tax won`t make any significant difference to the global production of carbon, that trendy villian of "climate change". The big picture. For stareter, the unsustainable global population explosion and the resultant environmental destruction. Frog fart, do you really think that the clowns who couldn`t organise the instalation of pink bats and the construction of tuck shops could manage the development of sensible energy production systems? In the country that can`t manufacture anything?
