Thanks for such a thorough explanation. I appreciate everything you are saying. But individually thinking it all about individual taste. I for example drink many types of beer. Bud leaded is one of them. I honestly cannot understand why anybody would drink light anything. Light either really means less or ingredients that should not be consumed, or both. I also am not one who just goes along with the pack.

For example I think that Big Mac's are the most disgusting burger on the planet, haven't had one for over 25 years easy, never want to eat one if it can be helped ever again. Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut are also on my no eat list. Disgusting trash that people will toss down their gullet just never ceases to amaze me. Very popular, but disgusting choice none the less. That's just me though.

I like dark beer but not too dark it reaches the point where it tastes like tar. I like DosXX, Pacifico, and an occasional Carona when those two are not available, but I won't drink them without lime. I will not drink Miller, Olympia, Coors, PBR, or any other of the near water beers, and if you are around me you would appreciate that. Gives me gas something awful and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, YUK. I won't drink anything that you would find an alcoholic living in poverty would drink. No Meister Breu, Old Milwakee, etc... Talk about nasty! Might as well french kiss a skunks ass. I always tell my friends I know I'm not an alcoholic because I am selective about my beer drinking and if any of those other beers are offered I would rather drink nothing.

    I don't consider myself a beer snob...

I just prefer my brews to have flavor, and, all things Budweiser lack in that dept...

    So, what's everybody's preferences, then?

Mine's Yuengling, particularly Black & Tan, but, I like all of them (except the Lord Chesterfield Ale, but, I hate ales anyway), Guinness, stuff like that...

Sure, aside from the fact Bud is disgusting.

I tend to drink honey wine, such as mead over ale or lager.

I don't drink now but, when I did, I tried many different beers. Bud was the best all-around for the money. I didn't see anywhere in the OP where anyone actually tested the alcohol content. I would think that would be a 'no-brainer'.....Either the alcohol is there or isn't. Specific gravity test should work.

Shiner Bock, and they have a couple seasonal beers that are killer too, others not so.

    PBR is some nasty beer.

It's kind of funny that people worry about 'watered down beer' when most beers are probably 95-97% water! Can average people actually tell if the water content is 94% or 95% or 96%? When people drink beer they are not tasting water; they are tasting other ingredients so if the taste of beer has changed then someone should question how the 'other ingredients' have changed?

Yep, that's true even though most won't admit it. Money buys everything except health, but it still helps a lot with that.

Even though customers know that Bud is still watering down its beer, people are continuing to buy more of it than ever before. Must be something in the water.
