No one I have heard even those touting it's ability to HELP fight a COVID infection by interfering with the virus replication and even hinted it would become "on a par" with a vaccine.

No it doesn't. What science tells you is that the difference in the fatality rate for people under fifty with or with out the vaccine approaches zero. Further the science indicates that masking children under five is a complete waste of time no difference at all in infection rates among schools that did and did not mask.

 

It is used for Covid. Just not here where it’s been vilified as a political issue.

Why the hyperbole? This is embarrassing. You can't claim science selectively as we test the effects of Ivermectin yet deny science when it comes to the vaccine. It's ridiculous.

I was told by a medical professional and not some random dude on the internet. This has nothing to do with laser pointer or making big pharma money. Suppose the virus is a plot to make money? YOU STILL CAN DIE FROM IT. After smoking a half million cigarettes in my life I don't need covid. I seriously believe a person should be vaccinated as a service to others and consider themselves soldiers. Soldiers take chances for the good of all. I also think it is my responsibility as a man.

How is Ivermectin thought to work on COVID-19?

• For the SARS-CoV-2 virus to make you sick, it has to first infect your cells.
• Then while inside the cell, the virus makes heaps of copies of itself, so it can spread around your body.
• The virus also has ways of reducing the way your body fights the infection.
• During the infection of the cell, some viral proteins go into the cell nucleus, and from here they can decrease the body’s ability to fight the virus, which means the infection can get worse.
• To get into the nucleus the viral proteins need to bind a cargo transporter which lets them in.
• Ivermectin can block the cargo transporter, so the viral proteins can’t get into the nucleus. This is how the scientists believe Ivermectin works against SARS-CoV-2 virus.
• By taking Ivermectin, it means the body can fight the infection like normal, because its antiviral response hasn’t been reduced by the viral proteins.

Stop it! You are on the side that claimed that Covid was "like the flu" and that it would go away "like a miracle". The side that defended hydroxychloroquine, bleach and sticking ultraviolet light through some orifice. The side that trashed REAL science like the vaccines, masks and social distancing. The side that praised idiot governors like DeSantis who has created an out of control pandemic at the time when it was easiest to avoid.

You can be sure of one thing: if there is ever some pharmaceutical that cures Covid, the news that it works is not going to come from... wherever you get your information. It's not going to come from anecdotes and wishful thinking. It will come, as it always has, from Science!

 

The science you so easily ignore. Ivermectin is proven to dramatically reduce viral load. Now that the vaccinated can carry the same viral load as the unvaccinated I would think you would welcome a treatment that can keep the vaccinated from dying. Or is it too politically charged for you to accept?
