    Where the problem lies is many many of the refugees making their way to Australia are Sri Lankans. Sri Lankans don't have refugee status.

    Just last week, another Sri Lankan was caught out and sent packing. These Sri Lankans are attempting to jump the queue.

    I don't agree with off shore processing of refugees, but refugees must be checked out thoroughly and therefore processed. The message must go out that if one does make his/her way to Australia as a refugee, there will be a period of time where you will be isolated from the general Australian community while processing takes place, and if you bull sh!t, you will be sent packing.

    First world countries must say no more asylum. You want to come here, you go thru channels. Asylum is just another scam illegals use to get into an advanced country and go on welfare. Obozo's own aunt iplayed that game.!!! Romney should have pounded on that but the coward didn't.

    Criminals no, invaders never. Most of these people come from regions where there is or was turmoil, vis a vis Afghanistan and Iraq. They are seeking a better life for themselves and their families.

    Wasnt that in response to some planes flying into their buildings? Or at lest the reason given. Besides what wars has Australia started? The problem i have is we build societies that can afford a safety net for our less fortunate citizens and people want that available to the entire world. Sorry i dont accept we have to fix the worlds problems and we sure as hell cant afford to - unless of course your suggesting zero welfare? Nope didnt think so, they'd lose the incentive to come here now wouldnt it.

    Australia also had massive immigration from SE Asia post 1975, Vietnamese. Australia today is still predominantly Caucasian.

    Is it your position that there were inhabitants on what is now referred to as Australia that predates the Australian migration from Africa between 125K and 40K years ago? You're not one of those Lizardmen theorists are you?
    Or is it your position that as we cannot be 100% sure of the ongoing knowledge in Anthropology and Human Evolution that we are therefore in a position to deny the landed entitlement & cultural heritage of indigenous peoples in Australia (or around the world)?

    Why they are seeking asylum again? as far as i know Indonesia is a republic , they tolerate 100's of nationalities and religions and they have their own culture when dealing with social issues, there are no cultural asylum seekers .

    As for being white, Australia is a black nation occupied by European rejects :p

    It has because republic means they have a government elected by popular vote and not autocratic regime that abuses those who speak against it . Seeking asylum means that you are persecuted , what are those Indonesians persecuted for ?
