I'd suggest the ignore option. Myself, I don't like blocking people, but it's the internet and there's no law preventing batshit crazy people from barfing their crazy all over the place. Welcome to the forum.
Yeah, some people are so emotionally delicate that they can't handle a different opinion. Anyway, I just sent three of my show bikes out for some TLC before Biketoberfest in March. Here's one of them:
Any poster who disagrees with Yer Highness.Yer about Insisting not debating.Yer a self-absorbed bully.Yes,the Internet is loaded with em. Now take yer doggone bike and go home to Mommy.Do Not Stop at the Soda Fountain on the way.
So, I'm a self-absorbed bully because I disagree with your stupid characterization of Harley riders? What a sad little man you must be. You view disagreement as something to be offended by. That's truly sad. Trust me, Skippy, if I decide to "target and stalk" you, you'll know it. By disagreeing with you all I'm doing is saying I disagree with you. I had no idea you were so delicate as to believe that someone must be attacking you because they disagree with you...
It doesn't get ridden much. The front fork on it is worth more than Foolardi's entire bike, so I baby it a little bit. Here's a picture of my '73 Electra-Glide I picked up a few weeks ago. I'm either going to change out the bags or have these painted. I'd like them to be the same color as the tank and Fenders...
Nice bikes Steve! Mine is still in the garage waiting a mere hour's worth of rebuilding the front brakes.. sheesh! Honey dos take priority! Too bad, it has gotten cool enough here now to make it prime bike riding weather. (p.s. I don not think fool realizes the irony in his post! LOL) AND welcome to the board! and ignore the trolling, apparently some people just love to toss out inanities in anonymity! LOL
Well.. good. Then you know the ropes.. Altho' I'd say that on this thread, you got a rather rude introduction.
LOL!!! How did I miss this the first time through the thread?? That's absolute gold! Yeah, bikes aren't for everyone, and that's perfectly cool...
I ran it on that trip..twice. Once on my bike, once on her trike. The trike will absolutely wear your ass out. You don't carve corners on it like you do a bike, you have to "push" it through them. Very very upper-body intensive. I needed a couple of days, and numerous beers, to recover. Maggie Valley is a beautiful place, and a biker's paradise.
I read a really good and in my case accurate account of what it means to be a motorcycle enthuthiast.I'll have to remember where to look for it. In a nutshell, the person who wrote the article { Might have been - Cycle World - } gave an opinion about Bikes I totally agree with.It might have had to do with rainy weather and not riding until the weather pattern moved. That he felt it was great to finally be able to ride again. It was like being denied TV or lunch. To have to wait out weather. It pained him to not be able to go out and do what Motorcycling awards. The free spirit that motorcycling un leashes. One can think better when riding on a nice road on a nice day. The same feeling I got when I jogged { for about 10 years }.However jogging clears out all the bad crap yer body stores.Like nervous energy. But both are great for thinking and contemplating.Don't kid yerself.Riding a motorcycle can be like meditating. Not if one is preoccupied with being Mr. Loud and obnoxious.Like I say ... what too many Harley guys are preoccupied with. I heard it today with Big Pickup Truck guys.Musta been at least 4 different super high off the ground Diesel Pickup truck were blasting off in 1st gear to show off.How Loud. That's the kinda crap that dickhead custom bike builder Jesse James was into. That and his Pit Bulls. What a Cracker.Never could stand the guy. I read once his Father had the same opinion of him.
This is simply unqualified idiocy. You have no idea what it's like to ride a Harley, and I dare say you know spare few people who do. This is far more your speed: This rambling has exactly nothing to do with motorcycles. It's just you whining... Now you're afraid of dogs? LOL!!
I always try to talk people out of those things. All the risks of a motorcycle without any of the benefits. One issue is that on a motorcycle you have 3 positions in a lane you can occupy, left, center, and right. This allows you to avoid debris in the road, whereas if you are riding one of those can-am's you have a wheel in the left position as well as one in the right, and the rear wheel is occupying the center. If there is any debris in the road you are much less likely to avoid hitting it. Another disadvantage is that when you are stopped in traffic at a light, if needed you can scoot up in between the lanes of cars if you see a vehicle coming in too fast to stop in time, on a can-am not so much. You are not only stuck where you are in traffic you also have no car doors or anything surrounding you. And yet another disadvantage is that if you take the can-am on the back roads, the crown of the road pitches the can-am to the right, so you end up riding down the road leaning to the right and tilting your head to the left to compensate. Not comfortable at all. Not to mention they cost just a bit less than a car...
That dude sure picked a good name for himself didn't he? Fools abound. I ride a metric cruiser and my experience is that if for whatever reason a biker doesn't return the wave, most are on HD's. Just passed three bikes going the other way and not one of them returned the salute. Noticed the three piece patches of the local dominant club in my mirrors. Of course they aren't gonna wave at a Yamaha.
I have 4 motorbikes: - Honda CBR 900 RR - Honda XR 600 (year 2000 model) - Yamaha TT 600 (1990 model) - Kawa KDX 175 Love them all, but the XR is my favorite. She is incredibly reliable and good-natured.
Lane splitting is only legal in one state. California. And MC's lane split too, sometimes very fast. Youtuber "races" a MC member while lane splitting, about 9 minutes into the video.
No, sorry. I only have a picture of me riding through France on my old XT500. But not digitized. It is sometimes from the 1980s ...
Yet of all those Forums, you decide to make yer bones at this particular one.By starting right in and practicing the art of Bullying. Within about a weeks time of joining.
