Embrace the freedom you proclaimed, or be smart enough to stop infringing on the rights of others...

You too. Remember you support the private ownership of weaponized anthrax.

Unless you hate the constitution. Lol

Where did I say that? Weaponized anthrax would fall under regulations covered by the CDC, a Constitutionally valid organization. Your silly attempts to simply the issue to the 2nd while ignoring the rest of the Constitution is beyond childish. I'm done with you...

Vegas exists only for a single purpose and that is to gain attention like a spoiled rotten 2 year old, he serves no other purposes around this forum outside of that.

I had a 686 snub I really liked; far more accurate than it had any right to be and the trigger was as smooth as any DA revolver I'd ever owned up to that point. Won several IDPA SSR matches with it. Broke my heart when I had to let it go. Stupid divorce....

Revolver cleaning can definitely be tedious; I was lucky my grandfather taught me some shortcuts; but while I always have enjoyed shooting, I've never taken much enjoyment out of the maintenance.

You don't just soak them in cleaner overnight and hose them off on the morning?

Sucks you had to part with a gun you enjoyed shooting. Divorce sucks.

I too don't enjoy gun maintenance but I dislike it less with semi-autos. Can you share some of those shortcuts?

    LOL! Nooooo.....

That, my friend, is a true statement!

I don't know if my grandfather invented it or not, but he had a cobbled together rope of patching material he'd put together (They now have a product called a Bore Snake that's the same idea) which he used.
He'd use a bore brush, soaked in solvent, and scrub the barrel and the chambers first, leaving them wet to soak.

He then took an ordinary tooth brush, with the end likewise wet with solvent, and would carefully brush out the area around the forcing cone, then under the extractor star. He'd then brush the rest of the cylinder window and the firing pin bushing. From there he'd use a rag to wipe off the excess oil and swab out the cylinder window, make sure the ejector rod was properly tightened down and hadn't loosened since the last time he'd checked, and use a Q-tip to swab out the firing pin bushing and make sure no debris had accumulated there, then swab out the ejector rod housing and again under the extractor star.

He would then run his rope of patch material down the barrel and through the chambers two or three times, then wipe off the cylinder face to clean off the debris pulled out by the rope and call it good.

About every thousand rounds he'd break down and do a more traditional detail cleaning that included removing the cylinder and crane.

I pretty much did all that except for the bore snake as I didn’t know about the bore snake when I had the revolver. I am now a fan of the bore snake and use one on my current gun. Maybe it’s time to get back to having a revolver. I will go with a .357/.38 for whatever I get. Maybe get the 686 again or possibly the GP100.

I've always tended more towards S&W, but the recent generations have not met the standards set by the older ones. Ruger has some exciting new GP100 models out there that have caught my eye, however!

I have actually heard the same thing about S&W. Very unfortunate.

Yeah, it is; I remember when a S&W revolver meant one smooth right out of the box; or it would become so in short order with just a little dry fire practice and shooting. Now, even the tuned ones don't feel like anything special.

Kind if a vague way if saying No. Every state, county and city/ town can regulate firearms. We already do restrict firearm ownership from some individuals. Let’s not keep repeating the same untrue stuff.
The govt. ,federal, state and local has been exercising its role in regulating firearms. We HAVE since the country was founded.
Do you as an invidual have a personal right to keep a firearm in the home for protection ? Depends...It isn’t unregulated and not. everyone can.
