    Humerous but with a serious message. There are about 1/4 the action movies there used to be and most would be considered hateful and war mongering by the liberals in Hollywood.

    Don't think its true? Two words. Delta Force. One badass terrorist butt kicking un-apologetically American hero movie.

    Is it wrong to be proud of action heros who go after the bad guys and now replaced with a bunch of Metrosexual pansies?

    Hey, I sat through one of those movies in the hopes of, well, advancing the relationship.

    You are comparing action movies of then with romantic fantasy today? Remember when Harry met Sally? Now that came out of the same time. There were hundreds of soppy tear jerkers in those times too. And now we have movies like Batman, Captain America and other action heroes that compare, so your whole argument is null and void.

    Who's hero are the Twilight people besides your occasional crazy female?

    I mean our normal "heroes" from Spiderman to Superman are still ridiculous with ridiculously huge Hulk-like muscles and they don't go around all day swooning over people.

    As was the Dalai Lama, Ang San Suu Kyi and Mother Teresa.

    The difference of those I mentioned compared to Chucky Boy is that Chucky Boy is an actor. Away from the movie set he is void of action hero statis. Those I've mentioned are who they are 24/7.

    I just can't understand why Americans put their actors etc on pedestals, they are just that, entertainers (to put it loosely).

    Instead of watching Rambo, men play CoD4.

    Violence in entertainment is alive and well. It lives on in video games which make 80s action movies look like sesame street.

    I'm just sick of watching unbelievable action flicks where some 140 lbs, 5 foot 8 inch blonde in heels whips the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of 10 guys 3 times her size before whipping out a gun whose recoil would knock her off her feet and blasting 20 more.

    I can understand the odd action heroine but now it is getting completely out of hand.

    You didn't quite read between read between the lines. I'm certain Chuck Norris can be a tough hombre and probably a nice guy, but the people I mentioned have worked tirelessly for humanity. These are the type of people we should look up to.

    If you wanna compare chick flicks to action movies, in the 90's Leonardo Di Caprio in Titanic was huge. Today, there's a new superhero movie every month.

    You are correct to observe, however, that the action genre isn't the same. It's less about bodybuilders with their shirts off. Genres change. Before the bodybuilders, there were were the Kung Fu stars and before that the mobsters. Now, we're in a superhero wave.
