I took the vaccine because I knew I had no immunity to Covid and would eventually get it. The "side affects" after the second shot was being very sick and miserable for three days...high fever, pounding headache, excruciating muscle pain, chills and intense shaking and basically just plain sick. I couldn't hardly move to go to the bathroom. Frankly...it pissed me off. I know other people who experienced what I experienced and based on that knowledge I took the second shot close to the weekend so I would miss work if things went wrong.. I know many people who were totally fine after the shot....but while I shook violently all those days....I wondered what idiot thought pregnant women should take this. (I had my baby early 37 years ago when I got the flu with the same symptoms. Glad I took the Vaccine and I'm moving on.
I had been schedule to take the Pfizer vaccine along with my wife on May twenty six, 2021 but I did some research and asked my wife to cancel my appointment. I did more research and forward a video by Dr. Simone Gold to my wife and she cancelled her appointment as well. Most of our children though got one shot already..... but we may have talked some of them into NOT GETTING the second dose.
I got my second pfizer vaccine on 4/1/21. I have not gotten renal failure. I have not grown a tail. My DNA has not mutated to make me a member of the X-Men. I got the vaccine because I believe in Science, not batshit crazy conspiracies and I'm not an *******.
I might agree that if I knew I was going to get the virus then the vaccine would likely be a preferable option. However, keeping in mind the balance between the risks of the vaccine, and the risks of getting the virus (and the risks of the symptoms even being that serious)... the vaccine just doesn't seem like that good of an option. I know they are trying to play down some of the bad things that have happened to people as a result of the vaccine. It is more rare, but so too are serious complications from the virus. I have a family member who got the vaccine and they say their arm feels like someone punched them. It started a little less than 2 weeks after they got the second dose, and has remained for over 4 months. The fact that their arm still feels sore tells me something is going on there. The vaccine has modified the RNA programming in their cells and making their muscle cells in the injection site in their arm continually pump out spike proteins, leading to a localized immune response and soreness. I don't believe a continuous immune response is a healthy thing, can lead to all sorts of health issues. Think auto-immune type diseases. It wasn't just a result of the needle because if that had been the case it would have immediately started to hurt. If I had some underlying lung condition in the first place that might limit my ability to breathe and would put me at increased risk if I got the virus, then I would probably reconsider. We also have to remember some people believe they may have already contracted the virus, and if they are correct about that then the vaccine would be unnecessary. Why would someone want to take the risk if they have reason to believe they might not even need it?
I was fully vaccinated last February. I got sick last Sunday and tested positive for Covid on Monday. I was not told if this was the Delta variant, but I have good reason to believe it was based upon the high speed and numbers of people who also got infected at my work place. We had had sporadic smaller outbreaks there over the past year, but this was different. Far more, very quickly. Being vaccinated did not stop me from getting sick. But I feel completely recovered now on Day 6 starting last Sunday. I’m 66. I really only felt really sick for one day, with improvement every day since. So ... I didn’t die, I wasn’t hospitalized, and all I took was some Tylenol and a nasal decongestant for a few days, and the illness has gone away quickly. Can I prove that the vaccine helped me fight this off quickly? No. But do I believe it did? Yes, I do.
The so-called common cold is a Corona virus like Covid. You can catch the same cold year after year. So much for your natural antibodies. Covid may be the same. Some evidence already shows natural immunity starts to wane after just a few months. Oh yes, and there is a 100% chance that you will eventually be exposed.
Then you're certainly not a proper Trumper. Not taking the vaccine has become the latest sign of one's undying loyalty to the Bronze God, exceeded only by having sex with Old Glory Were you a Trumper you wouldn't be posting here since you'd be dead, and proud of it
I always make decisions and form opinions independently. The decision to get vaccinated was not influenced by my politics. It was a calculated risk vs reward decision.
No doubt, and please accept my apologies if you're not a Trumper or even if you are one. I was just trying to point out how this Trump controversy seems to have found its way into nearly everything and this in particular.
I did, and still can't see how it would make sense. Or more to the point, why should anyone CARE where I go to? I think a lot of the paranoia about surveillance is really just a sort of reverse psychology reaction to how really insignificant most of our lives have become. Maybe I don't have any friends and my relatives are all dead but the guys in the black helicopters are still there.
Don't like your poll responses. I am vaccinated because it helps protect me. I don't give a crap about anyone else but the rest of my family is vaccinated too because we all know it helps protect us, emphasis on helps protect us and emphasis on we don't give a crap about what others do. That's their business. Emphasis also on since Delta also infects the vaccinated, I don't know that my vaccine will protect me or others. Evidence seems to show that it actually doesn't protect others. Many vaccinate people spread the virus to others so it is lefty BS to claim that my vaccine protects others.
Lindsey got the vaccine. He got COVID too. https://www.google.com/search?q=lin...450l2.403778685j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
I didn't choose the first option. I didn't choose any option because the first option went on to say that I got vaccinated to protect others, which I did not.
And yet you douse the idea that people should get vaccinated from thread to thread. Great to know you've looked after yourself though Reminds me a little of this:
I got my second pfizer jab on Friday. A little tired after a big swim yesterday but so far so good. I got vaccinated because it gives my life greater freedom and risk mitigation than without it.
