What does the last sentence say? Then answer for me how can the first and the last sentence both be true?

McCain picked the wrong year to run in... Much like 2020, after several years of a dummy, 2008 was going to swing blue.

If he had run in 2012, he would have had a serious chance..... better than Mitt, I suspect...

Romney could have beat Obama if not for the 47% blunder. That's what swung my vote to Obama. I wasn't any more impressed with Obama in 2012, but the hatred from the right combined with Romney's remark was enough for me. Almost an exact duplicate of '96 for me. Half-duplicate, anyway.

Bob Dole made no verbal blunders that I recall, and I respected Dole more than Clinton. However, the economy was amazing and the hatred from the right swung my vote to Clinton. I respected GHW Bush as well, but my votes for Clinton both times were based on the economy. The hatred turned me off to the right, and poor Bob Dole went the way of poor John McCain. I don't feel bad for Romney, but he's earned my respect.

Mad props... you obviously give each election some thought and can swing either way...

I'm a little more set in my ways... it would have taken a jaw-droppingly good candidate to get me to remotely consider a Republican after 2000, and they are getting farther away, not closer...

I did vote for Reagan 2 and Poppy Bush back in the day, but couldn't really tell you why anymore... They seemed like serious people ready to do a solid job. Was Bill Clinton who showed me there could be something more to being POTUS, but I still didn't consider myself a truly informed voter until I joined this forum in Oct 2017, when democracy was obviously at stake with the next election.

Arizona GOP State Senator Now Regrets Recount: ‘It Makes Us Look Like Idiots’
“I didn’t think it would be this ridiculous. It’s embarrassing to be a state senator at this point,” Paul Boyer said of partisan recount.

Well heck, it didn't take a lot to make Crooked Donnie's sycophants look like idiots.

Yesterdays update from the faux-dit czar

    SNIP
The audit continues. And no change, we keep moving forward. Accuracy is the best way to accomplish speed. So we're focusing on on that. Obviously, at the end of the week, Phoenix Union High School District takes over the facility on Saturday to get ready for some graduations next Monday through Thursday. So we'll stand aside and secure all the ballots and equipment here on the property and be ready to go when they're finished. I haven't heard any numbers. I was home in Prescott for Mother's Day, so I haven't checked with that. But we're still we're.. Yeah, 15,000. Or maybe it was, I think we're more than that, probably two and a quarter, maybe 250 or something. I see the number of boxes going down in the to be counted corrals, and we're a little slower in the paper evaluation process than the counting. But as far as counted ballots, I think we're approaching quarter of a million.

So much fun in there.... does this guy try to sound like T**** on purpose?

    1. Accuracy is the best way to accomplish speed??
    2. I'm just not sure why the faux-dit cannot go on DURING the graduation ceremonies... In fact, get the kids to help count... After all, if you want a fresh apple, go to the tree...
    3. So they are maybe 1/8th of the way done? This might be done by the 2022 election then.....

Like all of you, i'm getting a tad bored with this nonsense... and these nonsensical people...
