I heard in the news that Arkansas dumped over 4,300 people off of Medicaid due to failure to report job requirements.

I am NOT a fan of work requirements for Medicaid. Oh no!

Why should people pay for medicaid for people who are physically able to work, but refuse to do so?

Because they are poor and may wind up in a very expensive hospital if they can't afford medical insurance.

That avoids the question. Why shouldn't they be required to work like the rest of us?

You don't know their situation, they might be superficially normal, that is they were not diagnosed with an official condition yet, but are working on correcting a minor disability.

Have you sold you house, car, savings and given it all to those "poor people" so they can have a free lunch. Stop taking MY MONEY for your emotional breakdown. Illegal aliens are not even suppose to be here, and few of them pay taxes. Let em die wholesale. But if you wish to save any of them, sell everything you own to pay the bill for you and me (me no care)

We need to dump 29 million of them off of the rolls.

"People will be exempt from the work requirements in Arkansas if they have a disability, are pregnant, a caregiver or have dependent children. The requirements also do not apply to anyone over the age of 50."

They need medical care too, and they work for us. Plus it takes a community, not an individual, to help finance medical care for all.

Yes, but not everyone with a disability is recognized as having one. And anyway the people who were kicked off of Medicaid in Arkansas were poor and we should recognize that as the standard for being on Medicaid. Not whether they were working or not. It's pure Republican malice to kick the poor off of Medicaid, and it's also malice when some states didn't expand their Medicaid.

How would you suggest it be handled? There are people who will not work, if they do not have to.

They were poor because they did not work.

If that is pure republican malice, I am all for it. Work, if you are physically able. If you are physically able to work and choose not to do so, then you are on your own.

Because medical emergencies can happen at any time the poor need a medical insurance plan to be active. In articles I've read, but can't link to because they are behind paywalls, and so aren't a valid source for this forum, that the people who provide mental healthcare are especially worried by Arkansas' kicking poor people off of Medicaid.

I don't support a work requirement for Medicaid. Constitution, preamble, the right to life.

That is not the question. It is why have you not sold everything you own to provide this service instead of stealing it from me and people like me. You think it is important, YOU pay for them, no me. And they DON'T work for anyone. How about you take care of you, and I will take care of me?

They may need it, but you only get what you earn in life. They should have thought about that BEFORE they got where they need it. And illegal aliens, we should just shoot them anyways as invaders, legal under the Geneva Convention.

Do you still own a house? Why have you not sold everything you own and pay for those scumbags medical if you think it is so important.

There is no such thing in the constitution. There is no clause that says you can steal from me to give to others.

One poor person can't finance a national healthcare system. That argument is a non-starter. It's a state and federal tax that will pay for it. For Medicaid, I think, for every $3 $2 are provided by the Federal government and $1 is provided by the state.
