A shooter knowing there are people with guns in the school and not wanting to risk return fire will be deterred. A gun free zone sign is an invitation to open fire on students.

 

Why would someone who is mentally ill be deterred by knowing that there is someone who is armed. Most die in the attack anyhow even if this one did not. These are not rational people.

 

well it's not really that outlandish. Of course they would need training. It should be voluntary. They should be given intense background checks to have been teachers to begin with, after all we trust them with our children. And a lot of teachers already own guns. Especially if they would find interest in this. A good pistol isn't that bad.

Being able to teacher, and not having a criminal record which is what the background checks would find, is different than having the right temperament to use a gun in a very difficult situation. This is not target practice, it is shooting someone who might shoot you with large number of screaming crying people distracting you. Even trained professionals make mistakes then. An amateur would be much more inclined to panic and make a mistake.

 

They don't care. They want us disarmed and if they have to exploit dead children to do it, obviously they will. They want no discussion, they want no compromise, they want power and they want us defeated. They no longer even accept election results. Multiple threads criticizing the idea of letting our schools' good guys have the appropriate tools to deter and disable armed threats is proof positive of an orchestrated narrative, and proof positive that the ONLY 'solutions' the radical gun control cult will accept is banning/criminalizing sale and possession of semi-automatic rifles and stripping the 2nd Amendment from the Bill of Rights.

Colton Haab, the heroic ROTC student who shielded students during the shooting, appeared on Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" with host Tucker Carlson where he alleged that CNN producer Carrie Stevenson, who is the executive producer for Jake Tapper's "State of the Union" television show, was the person who censored him.

Mark the moment you refused to accept the results of an election, it was a mark on the trail you past that will lead your side again to tremendous regret. Do you know what it was like for Democrats when they started and lost the Civil War? Do you know that the bloodshed only ended after 30% of the military aged democrat males in the south were killed? That's the problem with not studying your history, it dooms you to repeating it.

If the Left will not accept election results that they lose, why should the Right? And if the Left is forcing a situation where we settle disagreement by force rather than votes, why in the world would we surrender the second amendment simply because you scream about it? If you want 2A repealed, we have a process for that. Why do you hate the constitution so much?
