1/ There is no evidence that this shooter intended to kill anyone but the victim. To say a mass shooting was prevented is pure speculation.

While they are not safer due to gun ownership laws in this country (I am one) they do make you feel safer, and that counts for something.

Wait... the number of people saved by buckling up compared to the number of people killed because they buckled up negates the argument that seat belts are dangerous and should not be worn?

To me this event just shows the dumbing down of people. Wife/coworker/ job does something bad the person perceives it as potentially life ending and then that person goes out and helps the wife/coworker/job do just that by shooting them up. Massive critical thinking fail on his part

 

It doesn't negate any argument, you can argue for any position you wish. People die due to being unable to extract themselves from their seatbelt, many more people are saved due to wearing a seatbelt. There is nothing in my mind to argue about.
