"We investigated Biden for over a year and found NO evidence that he committed a crime... or even anything to accuse him of" is not what I would call a negative. Obviously, they'll likely drag the investigation so they don't have to admit that before the elections. But you can be sure DEMOCRATS will run on it if it's brought up.

 

The difference is that you are just making excuses for the failure of the bill.

It does not take just seconds and the minutes or hours required to actually verify whether credentials are real for five thousand a day, amounts to an overwhelming job. Errors will be made and terrorists and otherwise undesirable people will be allowed to cross the border.

They are paying the cayotes thousands of dollars. They could easily buy airline tickets for those prices.

In addition, that does not even address the "gotaways" where any verification is impossible.

The goal of the bill should be very simple. They should not allow anyone to cross except at designated crossing points. In spite of the democrat's rhetoric, walls work.

 

So you think that the problem is five thousand illegal aliens a day come with fake passports that are so well made that they could fool a border agent. Of course, if you try to enter with a fake passport, you have broken the law and you can't apply for asylum. So we're talking about 5000 wealthy but stupid illegal aliens. Because it's better to come in with NO passport, and just claim asylum...

There's no way to know whether it would pass or fail. Speaker johnson wouldn't allow it to go to vote. It passed the senate. The reason Johnson did that is he was afraid it would pass and it would have passed. We needed only four of five republicans and there are more than that who favor that bill.

And why didn't he want to pass the bill? Because Trump doesn't want Biden to have a victory. Trump wanted the border to be a campaign issue. Trump and the house republicans specifically ,speaker Johnson, put party above country.
