We moved into a house once where the property owners were Druids/tree lovers. They had a nice a fig tree, but we gave it the ax.

What I said was when dealing with science (making a scientific claim) it is correct. As to your question, science doesn't deal with origins. So we have to infer with whatever evidence we have. So no, it's not scientific for the earth to be created 6 days before man (as far we know, we're still scratching the surface with quantum physics) because just by looking through a scientific lens its impossible to get the exact date correct. However a combination of science and history does show the Bible being right.

Shows how much you know about the prophecies of Jesus.

    http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/prophchr.html

As for history proven in the Bible there's the ten plagues of Egypt, the exodus, the Red Sea crossing (on the Arabian side, not Egyptian side), the conquest of Jericho, etc. some of the scientific claims of the Bible is the sanitary laws of leviticus long before germs were discovered, springs of the sea (Job 38:16), electricity can be used to send messages (Job 38:35), atoms (Hebrews 11:7), etc.

There are no prophesies of Jesus. All that was made up after the fact.
You should read and learn the bible.

How does science prove the 10 plagues? There was no exodus from egypt or crossing the sea of reeds (not red sea, a mistranslation).
So there are some archeological sites that are mentioned in the bible.

You know there was no world wide flood 4500 years ago.
You know civilizations are all over the world older than 10,000 yrs and more ago.
The earth isn't 6000 yrs old per the bible.

So much for good SAT scores.

Do you mind backing up that statement with, oh I don't know, evidence? At least I gave my part in another post.

You've got to be kidding me. Isaiah, Zechariah, Psalms, and others all after Jesus? Come on! It's not me who needs to read the Bible. It's you. You also need a lesson in biblical history. Do you have any evidence for your claim?

I didn't list the ten plagues under science, I listed under history. And you're parroting talking points. They found evidence for the Red Sea crossing in the gulf next to Arabia.

I name some pretty substantial places that people like you scoffed at saying it didn't exist.
You know that there was. Countering mantra for mantra.

You know the earth IS 6,000 years old.

Spouting mantras doesn't make you any smarter or me any dumber. You have to use something called evidence and sources to back up your claim.

I have studied prophesy extensively, and there is too much ad hoc to trust it. Those that study the bible to a scholarly level don't have the simple faith of us laymen.

ANd yet, I am a Christian.

There is a very good book, my bible thumper sister gave me for Christmas, called who wrote the bible.

It will blow your mind. The scholars see MANY THREADS from political and fighting factions. It is not SIMPLY GODS WORD. VERBATIM. Even the composition is made up, by the Nicene council.

None of those books are predicting Jesus. Jesus was made to try to fit those stories. But none actually refer to Jesus.

Please show this history. NOTE: The bible is not a history book.

The bible mentions many places that are or were real. Doesn't mean it is a history or science book with facts. Merely stories.

OK, and there was a worldwide cannibalism of all children, babies, and fetuses. As another poster from this site has said. Because God didn't kill innocents.
You can believe what you want. But that doesn't mean reality is part of it.

And I'm going to be president of the USA in 2017.

It's not the mantras. It's reality. I was once as naive and brainwashed as you. But I always had doubts, but believed any ways.

I am not implying anything, I am simply asking what is your opinion on a scripture, you of course will evade answering because of the obvious implications from a Biblical perspective, it has nothing to do with Me and everything to do with Biblical Truth.

    ************************************

    Galatians 1:6-11New International Version (NIV)

    No Other Gospel

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—

7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?
If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."

    *******************************************

So, what do you think of that Scripture ?

    Evidence please.

You can watch "patterns of evidence: exodus" for the ten plagues and here's evidence for the Red Sea crossing.

    http://www.ronwyatt.com/red_sea_crossing.html

Note: I never claimed that the Bible is a history book. I did said however that when dealing with history it is accurate.

I never claimed it was either, however the stories are true.

    Ditto and another mantra.

Another mantra. Unless you have sources that's all you said.

All the books you referenced is the evidence. Not 1 of those predict Jesus.

Huh? Then why is not any of Wyatt's discoveries in a museum?
You know it wasn't the Red Sea. It is the Sea of Reeds. The bible was mistranslated. I told you this already.

What is accurate, other than some names of cities.
    The stories aren't true.

No mantras. You seem to have no more. So you believe a flood and worldwide cannibalism. That doesn't mean it ever actually happened.

    "Ask a Mormon Anything"....
So which is MORE true, A or B?
    A. Adults having sex with 14 year old girls is vile, so J. Smith was vile, so therefore Mormons are vile for believing in him after hearing that he boinked kids, or
    B. Adults having sex with 14 year old girls is perfectly fine, so J. Smith did the right thing, I admire him for that, and I strongly believe we should change any laws that outlaw this - I've started a petition on change.org just now.

That's not evidence. If I did the same thing if you provide evidence for evolution then you'd say I'd be in denial. And you'd be right. However if I countered with "your evidence doesn't match up because XYZ" then it would be proper. Please show me how are they not talking about Jesus. And you keep switching excuses. You first said that all of those books (or at least prophecies) came after Jesus, then you said that they forced fitted Jesus to match the prophecies, now you're saying that the prophecies aren't talking about Jesus at all. Make up your mind. Which is it?

That's irrelevant. If they are indeed real then it doesn't matter if they are in a museum. Why isn't Grand Canyon in a museum? And the reason they aren't in a museum is because the chariot wheels and such are so fragile that they'll crumble if you try to lift it from the water.

Evidence please. Also its important to understand the context of the passage, not just what the word means or could mean. Can a reed sea stand as a wall to the Israelites? How did the Egyptians drown? How can a reed sea give the Israelites dry ground to walk through? Where's the evidence of their crossing? Lets face it. Your word is mud to me. So back up your word with evidence.

    The events surrounding the places.

    Prove it.

Where did I said I believed in world wide cannibalism? You never backed up your claims. Put up or shut up.

Read the books you claim are predicting Jesus. No where does it reference anything about Jesus. Unless one makes things up. The chosen people of God don't believe Jesus as the Messiah, and it was to be their Messiah. Islam, the 2nd largest and fastest growing religion of Abraham, doesn't believe Jesus is the Messiah. And the books in the bible you claim do so, actually do no such thing. Pick 1 and show how it refers to Jesus.

I never said the prophecies came after the fact. Read again and comprehend. I said making Jesus fit the prophecies came after the fact. People had to make things up to claim it was Jesus. Not one of the prophecies predict it was Jesus.

It's not irrelevant. If his discoveries are real, they would be revered. They are not. The Grand Canyon in a museum? You're joking. A land mark?
How is the ark of the covenant a land mark?
Fragile? Being in water? Come on. Then at least there must be many many pictures of such a thing and the exact location. Many many archaeologists must have them documented.

None of that actually happened. It is a fairy tale.
As far as Sea of Reeds vs Red Sea. Google it. Lets face it, your word is mud to anyone not brainwashed into stories that never were nothing but myths.

Show some evidence besides the bible or those trying to prove the bible, ie biased evidence.
One can't prove a negative. Unless you have proof there is a Santa Claus, tooth fairy, man on the moon.

Again, no proof of a world wide flood 4500 yrs ago. Pyramids are older than that. They would have crushed under the weight of the water. Civilizations are older than that and have no evidence of being wiped out. Civilizations in North America, South America, etc.
Of course, you have to understand facts.

You have not backed up your claims. Some BS website or the bible is not evidence.

You are aware that you start out with fallacy everything else based on that statement is also fallacy. You can say that the Church only acts according to what it believes are the policies of God.

At the end of the day you do not actually know for certain that God even has policies, never mind know what they are.

There are many myths from the past. None can be proven not to be true. There are many explanations for what might have been a crossing of the Red Sea. These can not be proven true or false.

When Akhenaten (Pharaoh that first adopted monotheism) died the Egyptians had a religious revolt (going back to old beliefs) and destroyed images of him. His cult followers lives would have been in danger and so they had to leave.

Since this was around the time of the Exodus spoken of in the Bible, some believe that these were the people of the Exodus and Moses was their leader.

Is this story true ? We certainly can not prove it false.

The book of Joshua states that the Israelite's in Egypt prior to the Exodus were not worshiping YHWH. This makes Akhenaten the inventor of Israelite monotheism.

    Give a specific example.

For the most part no but I'm a Jew and I believe. And you haven't given any reason as to why they reject it.

They are irrelevant because while their lineage came from Abraham, their religion isn't. They base some of their core beliefs with Abraham but they pervert just about everything else. Their God they call allah is a moon devil.

    Isaiah 53 for starters.

    Prove it.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't. Not only would this prove the Bible to be true but also a miracle and many scoffers would hold on to the bitter end and believe there is no God rather than admit it. If I was able to prove every single thing in the Bible to be true would you convert?

How many would even bother to look? If I told you I have proof for Santa how many would spend tax payer money to go find it?

    Prove it.

I did. And nice playing the "google it" fallacy card.

    Proving you have a bias.

I gave evidence. It's up to you to debunk it.

Mantra. Of course there's evidence. Miles of sedimentary rock is one of them. Every culture having a flood legend (many matching the major details of Noah's flood).

Even if that's true (no doubt using methods assuming same rate of whatever they used to date the thing) it could still survive the flood. Not everywhere was the flood violent.

No they wouldn't. The water was only 15 cubits above the highest mountain and they weren't as big as they are today. Plus if the earth's crust was fluctuating then the pyramids could've been in even shallower waters.

I do. You have to understand that many civilizations don't measure time all that accurately. And dating methods assume uniformitarism (pardon spelling).

    You never even bothered.
