Aussie flag, which one? make a suggestion...

Hi,
often discussed, and one day we will have a new one. So I invite you to come up with what you think should be our future flag:

First one is what we have, second one is what we should have, with our necessity to be as good as them, or better of course.

And the third one is, what we hopefully have one day, in order to honor those who looked after this country and whose soil we claimed....

The Aboriginal Flag is IP of an Aboriginal artist and he has stated that he won't give permission for it to be used in a National Flag.

But seriously can't we just have the Southern Cross with no one else's flag in the corner? (that just seems like Aust is an occupied country, which it is)

I understand his reasoning. He doesn't want the Abroginal Flag to be subordinated inside another flag. He wants the flag, and it is an official flag, to be equal to all other flags within Australia.

 

Just whacked that together in a couple of minutes. Needs some finishing touches around the Federation Star but whatever.

 

Do you know how many wars have been caused, and how many people have died over a stupid inanimate object like a flag? Isn’t there other ways people can express their pride and achievements besides in a piece of inanimate coloured material

Maybe we should switch over to the Red Ensign since it is the civilian flag of Australia. The flag of the people, not the government.

 

Why do we need a flag at all, when its only reason is to identify them from us. Are we not all human beings living on one planet.

A flag is part of our us, who we are and where we live. Nothing wrong there.....

 

We all need to fit into a group somewhere, it is part of our human pysche. I'm proud to be an aussie and want to be able to show it. I would however like a new flag design. It's a shame about the Aboriginal flag, it looks great in the corner of the southern cross. Sam Neil wore an australian flag with the aboriginal flag in the corner as you have it on a movie I watched not so long ago. I might try my hand at graphic designing and post one.

 

I agree,
to me an Australian flag must contain the Southern Cross as well as the Aboriginal flag. Maybe it could be rearranged, so that the Southern Cross as well as the Aboriginal symbol have about the same size/proportions within a rectangle.

He was my inspiration lol.... Honestly I couldn't find a program on my computer that enabled me to draw finer lines.

 

Our flag represents us...our diggers fought and dies for all that the flag stands for. You lot of disrespectful (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s should hang your heads in shame
