By % of population those crimes are more prevalent in the abbos communities...

The longer people BS about Aborigines, the longer solutions to problems are postponed.

    Thats the problem mate...

These leftards seem to think that throwing money and apologies at the abbos and furthering the victim mentality is helping them, its not.
Cut off the welfare, make them move to get jobs just as we have to and not having a separate system of governance for them...

Yes you are correct. With a little help from the white man wouldn't you say ?

Yes the aboriginal community needs to take ownership of these issues as does the wider community, but to me it seems a little narrow minded to lay the blame squarley at their feet, because as you have said they have been doing it for a long time. You also stated that they have been on some sort of gravy train for the last two hundred years. I will bring it to your attention that it wasn't until about forty years ago that they were considered human, and rose above the humble dog on the class scale. So 200 years is a big call, a few decades maybe. Call it compensation for past attrocities shall we.

Efjay this is not just an issue in the abbo community as you so eloquently put it, but moreso the wider community. To put our hands over our eyes and dismiss it as a race problem is a little naive.

And by the way, I would not like to see the flag changed. Like you I have had many relatives fight and die for that flag. I see a change as a pointless waste of money. If it did have to be changed we should not take any part of it forward, aboriginal flag included. Because to move forward no one group should have any ownership over any part of it. Instead we should all own every part of it.

They sit and watch Aborigines go down the gutter, haven`t got the balls to face reality. I wouldn`t neglect a razor back pig like that, and I don`t like wild pigs.

Have you seen the vile coming from your little lapdog. You are being a little precious about mundine while you condone and promote racial hatred such as this.

They`ve never had to deal with reality, someone else (the boss, the dole office) has always done it for them. That`s why lefty govts always fail. They originate from union roots, where their sole responsibility in life is to cry and whine, living off productive, responsible people. A leftist govt is like a houeshold where the children run the finances. They take out a tripple mortgage on the house to spend money on lollies and ice cream. Some are even dumb enough to try to delude themselves that a tripple mortgage is good for the finances.

We need to keep reminding ourselves, that we are dealing with children here, spoiled children.

    slippfish,
you never die for a flag, only for your country. Flags are always changing, altering over time.
A flag needs to represent a nation as a whole, and the Abos are part of this nation, even if some rednecks dispute that.
It is time for a change, the sooner our current flag changes the better, in my point of view....
    Regards

Why would you get your nappy in a knot over FJ`s post Cats? Just curious, his post seemed civil enough to me. Unlike your own reply.

When you say you`re from the "beautiful north" slippery, do you mean north NSW, or QLD. If you are referring to NSW, that`s actually South. But that`s just my opinion.

His nappy got in a knot cos i called him on his BS...simple as that. He has stated his opinion but claimed the opinion as fact, he has abused those that hold a different view and proclaimed them as wrong. All on the strength of his opinion....not fact.

The only objection I`ve got to putting symbolism representing any specific group, is that we`d then have to do it for everyone. The flag would end up looking like a fkn patch work quilt.

British and indigenous representation is all that is necessary, although most european Australians now identify with the southern cross. They are the initial converging groups in terms of sovereignty to which the country was established. The union jack is a representation of about 3 or 4 different countries.

That's a good argument, totally ridiculous though. No one said that each individual group should have a representation on our flag, Some say the traditional owners should have a part of it, some say the founders should, what you say is a strawman
