Oh well, I guess we have different opinions on what is considerd "unethical"...

John McCain lost because the national economy cratered in the last two months of the campaign season and because the bulk of the national press corps essentially campaigned for Barack Obama. The reason leftwingers hated Palin with a passion was because she consistently pulled in more people for her speeches than did Barack Obama.

Unethical and divorced from reality? So you won't be voting for Hillary Clinton?

Yep and the Alinskyites can't stand that since they don't have many folks they have to make it seem like they do. Pathetic.

Yes, and look at the difference between the way they treated Sarah Palin and the way in which they are treating Ted Cruz in their passionate hatred of both people. They hate on Cruz as a Senator with -- from their ideological perspective -- deplorable politics but they hated on Palin not only for her politics but every aspect of her personal life. They don't delve into Cruz's personal life. They hated Palin simply because she was . . . an uppity woman who dared NOT to be a liberal.

    Well, not exactly.

The poll specifies Republicans "in Congress"; and, although the Congress is comprised of two chambers (including the Senate), most respondents to this poll were probably thinking, specifically, of the House.

And even there, only four out of 10 believed that their own congresspeople should be removed.

In any case, the poll was conducted "Friday through Sunday, just after the end of the 16-day partial federal government shutdown" that has (temporarily) harmed the Republican brand, due to the constant spinning of the MSM. By the time of the midterms--more than a full year hence--that should be a non-issue.

And I am aware of no serious analyst who believes that the Democrats have any real chance of regaining control of the House as a result of the 2014 midterms; or even making significant gains there...

Mostly what yanked their mysoginist chains where Palin was concerned is that she was an independent minded and dynamic woman who not only pulled in larger crowds for her speaking gigs than did Obama but she had just about as much real world experience at the national level [being a state governor who'd actually managed government processes] than Obama had as a relatively inexperienced to the national level first term U.S. senator.

Because Palin made Obama look bad in regards to comparative experience levels that's why it often seemed that it was Palin running against Obama and not McCain running against Obama if you went by the nature of the Left's outraged and vitriolic responses.

The radical liberal progressive extremists also embrace radical islam and we know how they hate for a woman to be strong and independent. I guess it is just the libs showing their true colors. They have to demonize any woman that speaks out against them so that other women won't follow suit. It is sad really.

It's the same way they deal with all minorities. Anytime a minority goes off the ideological reservation and runs as a Republican they go all out attacking him or her in the most vicious way possible, including issuing slurs that they would consider racist or bigoted were the person a leftwinger receiving similar 'hits' from rightwingers -- it's just that when the person in question is female they also go full blown misogynist on her as well. So their hypocrisy is breathtaking in nature.

The liberals simply don't have a clue what's coming when Obama Care's high deductibles and yearly out of pockets land in peoples checkbooks. Of course they were clueless when they lost 69 seats in Congress in Nov 2010. I'm sure they'll blame Juju beans or bad Karma when they lose big in Nov 2014 too.

Personally, as an independent, I would prefer not having parties at all. Although this may seem like a giant mess to all of you as to which party is going to come out on top, I think we should scrap parties all together and look at people based on their personal beliefs, policies, and ideas rather than which party they're in. We judging politicians and each other based largely how they classify themselves as opposed to judging them based on what they actually think as an individual. Not to mention, the rivalry between parties is causing a LOT of unnecessary tension and conflict.
"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissention, which in different ages & countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders & miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security & repose in the absolute power of an Individual: and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty." — George Washington, September 19, 1796
George Washington said it about 200 years ago and it is still valid. Instead of wondering which party rises to power, we should be wondering about how we can slowly abolish the entire party system.

I am liberal and yet I don't hate woman, plus I do not embrace any religion because I feel,,, well I do not need an imaginary friend telling me how to live my life. I think George Carlin summed up Christianity really well.

Religion has convinced people that there's an invisible man ... living in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer, and suffer, and burn, and scream, until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you. He loves you and he needs money.”

Do you also remember the ACORN debacle, the voter fraud debacle, the Black Panther debacle, et al.? Yeah, most mainstream media ignored that and then when they couldn't ignore it anymore, they were disingenuous with it.

Actually, I'm of the mind that true Conservatives, like Ted Cruz, need re-election and RINOs, like John McCain, need replacement.

    What if you are mistaken?

And in a separate unrelated thought...

What is your view on increased numbers of Muslims being permitted to immigrate to the US?

You're really stuck on this government shutdown thing... as if it effected so many people. In reality, the only people who felt the hurt were the WW2 veterans who were denied access to their memorial. Otherwise, federal employees are receiving back pay, some are double dipping with unemployment, and most people enjoyed their vacation. You're like Chicken Little crying about the sky falling. Guess what... it's not falling, it was never falling and it probably never will. Your overbearing, obtuse Government is safe and sound... just as the people therein. Meanwhile, the GDP was more effected by Obama's policies than any government shutdown. If the government actually did shutdown (not just 17-18% of it), we'd probably see private industry soar.

You're right, though... America doesn't like losers. They also don't like bullies, and they can see the Democrats for what they are. They pushed through Obamacare, they never negotiate, they could give two craps about their constituents and the rest of the American people, they're the most divisive people in the country and their days are numbered.

That being said, I don't believe our country will turnaround with any one election.

    That's really not it.
Palin has repeatedly proven herself to simply be a very ignorant, poorly educated media whore. Oodles of evidence for this. No one really needs to cite the years of quotes that make that irrefutable.
The only possible reason to support her is a rabid dedication to a failed agenda.

That's pretty hypocritical, especially when you're sitting in the "shell of Left wing propaganda media," yourself. If you want to surround yourself with like-minded lemmings, try the democraticunderground or reddit.
