Bahrain has been curiously excluded from all the excitement about the "Arab Spring." One explanation that has arisen is an alleged agreement between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, wherein the Saudis green-lighted airstrikes on Libya in exchange for muted criticism of Saudi assistance to the Sunni regime in Manama in crushing a Shi'ite uprising. The Iranian regime, meanwhile, sees the opportunity for yet another client state in the region, and appears again to be doing what it does best in order to achieve it: asymmetrical warfare with plausible deniability. Saudi Arabia has done a great deal for the eastern province Shia over the past 50 years. Iran has had ambitions on the Arabian Peninsula since the 1960s.. The US knows that.. The GCC position on Libya had NOTHING to do with Bahrain. Khadafi NEVER had a friend in the Arab world.
Iran seems to think it can conduct war with soldiers not wearing uniforms - and not have to face the consequences. From a broader perspective, this is why it is so important iran not be allowed to achieve a nuclear weapon, they will attack one country after another until the entire middle east - and beyond - is under their control, and will have a massive deterrent from anyone trying to stop them.
Abu.. Saudi Arabia and the GCC have to pay Bahrain's bills.. Poverty and chaos don't make a democracy. Look at Egypt.. Libya is already holding elections.
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/209880.html Margot my dear Libya is not holding elections They are forming an interim government something we also done in the days following the ouster of Mubarak. At least we have parties and committes and unions and syndicates. Poor Libya has none of that so how can they possibly run an election yet? Sometime my head hurts from so many American stupid comments it really does. It's a full time job here replying to them.
Libya is holding elections.. Are you so ashamed of Egypt that you want all other Arab countries to fall into poverty and chaos?
Libya will most likely follow our path. Next Summer they will elect a transitional Government. These guys will form a constitution. The people then get to vote on that in a referendum. Then they will form parties and campaign. They can then choose to have a presidential election or a parliamentary one first. That will be Autumn of next year at least. We are campaigning now and we get to vote in 3 waves starting in 2 weeks. 28th November.
Margot please stop. Are you seriously trying to tell me that Libyans are out voting with their ID's and voting for the Parliamentary or Shura Elections? Please!!!!
Here from Jibril dated 22 October 2011 I will translate for you They are planning to hold elections in 8 months to form a transitional government. Then a presidential election after that. Looks like the NTC will be in power for the next 8 months according to Jibril. It is what I predicted. They cannot possibly run a campaign when there are no political parties to choose from. Libya is not the USA The Libyans are going to have to from parties and will have 40-50 possibly unlike the 2 republican ones in the US to choose from. Viva Libya and shukran for contacting El Boraei our Workforce minister and asking for 600,000 Egyptians to go to Libya as soon as possible to start rebuilding Libya with more to follow. Doctors, teachers, construction wokers, etc etc did I just hear an echo??? sorry Abu???? no thought not

http://uk.ibtimes.com/articles/2488...aims-smashed-iran-backed-terrorist-attack.htm Well right on cue, Iran is saying its baseless tho that wouldnt seem to be the case. Its the same thing they claim when theyre caught redhanded in Iraq or Afghanistan and I assume we all agree, that dog dont hunt. I can hear the Iranians now.....'the claims we supplied the nuclear device to the terrorists are baseless'.
