    He can only be a bad choice if he is not an American puppet. Which only seems to leave out Russia, China, N.Korea, Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia, these days.

    something on Beblawi

    Interim president Adly Mansour has assigned prominent liberal economist Hazem El-Beblawi to the post of the prime minister of Egypt on Tuesday afternoon.

    El-Beblawi had served as minister of finance and deputy prime minister from July to December 2011 in Essam Sharaf's cabinet during Egypt's post-revolution transitional phase.

    He is a founding member of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party. He also writes a weekly column for state-run Al-Ahram newspaper.

    El-Beblawi served as undersecretary-general at the UN between 1995 and 2000, having been chairman of the Export Development Bank of Egypt from 1983 to 1995.

    Starting his academic career at the University of Alexandria in 1965, El-Beblawi became a professor of economics nine years later.

    He has since taught at the universities of Cairo, Ain Shams and the American University of Cairo, as well as in Kuwait, California and at the Sorbonne in Paris.

    The billions Saudi pledged suddenly seem to be coming to Egypt after 2 years!

    The war between them and Qatar sees Egypt get 8$ billion from each side of their Arab family tribal war

    result = 16 $$ billion to Egypt

    The only way for Uncle Sam to avoid trouble with the Egyptian people is to stay out of their affairs. Completely.

    I'm sure the US knows full well that publicising such meetings will only serve to further undermine support for the Muslim Brotherhood among the Egyptian people.

    What about the $1.3 billion that the Egyptian military gets from the US every year? Why do the Egyptian people put more trust in the army over the Muslim Brotherhood, when it's the army that receives the most US support?
