What lie did he utter today about the Mueller report? I did not see them go to Lafayette Park to hold the hearings.

So what are the lies the Democrats are getting him to utter today

I think we are getting the impression that you do not trust Barr. That said, I would think most posters here would understand that most on that committee are lawyers. Any intelligent prosecuting attorney makes their case by leading their witness into a trap by making them make a statement and then showing hard proof that the witness had just lied. Why do you support the democrats filibustering and not cornering Barr?

It will be impossible for anyone even remotely paying attention, to miss that the "fake media" the whole of them, have so shown their bias.

And rember, he got a bunch of his choices for AG positions and DA positions (the DA in ST Louis for example) in place.

 

I'm watching this now. And you've pretty much hit it dead on. Democrats ask their "yes or no" questions and won't let him fully answer, then make assertions without letting him respond to those accusations. Republicans are asking questions, no grandstanding, letting him respond to those questions and at times letting him respond to assertions made by Democrats.

It's quite obvious that Democrats are hiding things and just using this moment to smear Trump with accusations based on fiction.

The Republicans are using facts and being civil.

read the constitution Art 2 places the power of the executive in A President! They didn’t want a tyrant that’s why they broke up the power of govt in three branches and didn’t make a strong central govt...supported capitalism and a democratic republic

Probably my opinion but your chiming in on something you have not even heard is telling.

 

I do not want any entrapment, any cornering of a whitness. It works both ways. Barr as a "whitness" as you say should answer straight up truthfully. He is an attorney but at the time he is testifying he should be doing so openly and truthfully as a servant of the people not as an attorney. The Congressmen should be asking questions as servants of the people not as an attorney.

Barr as a servant of the people should not be focused on the defense and pooping up a POTUS who wants to be like a CEO of a family owned company where there is no other stock holders except him and maybe his family. Barr should be working girls the people. It is the people's government not the family held company of the Trumps.

Trump has said that he can do anything. Test the Justice Department including the FBI are his. Barr for the most part backs that up.

The three branches are indeed set up as checks and balances but Trump has gotten out of being checked orb balanced.

You are correct that the FF's did not make a strong central government. Yet making the chief executive very strong and with little or no checks on his power makes for a stron central government. That is what most of us do not want want. A strong unchecked executive is the government therefore you by supporting a strong unchecked executive are allowing a strong central government.

As I said in another post beware of what you wish for. Today's strong executive may be of your ideological liking or that he just brings the SUPREMES you agree with. Tomorrow's Tyrant may be of anyother ideology what will you do then. What Barr claims "push " him out?

The government and hensehe powers of the pieces of the government need to be the same for either party. We do not want to build the government to match the man sitting in the Oval Office. We need elect the man to fit into and protect the government of the people.
