    …Former Trump administration official Dr. Ben Carson on Thursday stressed the need for a more patriotic curriculum after parents were "horrified" during school lockdowns to see what children were learning in some instances.

    "During the COVID crisis, we had a chance to sit down and actually look at what was being taught in our schools. And I think pretty much, many of us were horrified with the way that history is being distorted or deleted," the former HUD secretary told "The Brian Kilmeade Show."

    "If you want to fundamentally change a society, you have to indoctrinate and manipulate. So you gain control of the educational system and you gain control of the media. That's exactly what the leftists have done."

    Carson partnered with the American Cornerstone Institute to create the Little Patriots platform to educate children on American history…

    The Fox News reporter tells us what former Housing Secretary said and is doing. The covid restriction opened parents eyes as to what their kids were being “taught” when in distance learning. Carson and his organization are creating alternatives to teach our kids on key subjects.

    the article doesn’t say what parents were “horrified” by, and what the replacement would be. Sounds like both sides want to get their agendas in there.

    If you cant debate the issues, then you literally stop teaching about it. The right in this country has lost their minds to the point that they literally want to only teach propaganda. Fcast cabbot be considered, we must change the message to propoganda that "America never made any mistakes".......

    And al this from the guy who tried to hide that he spent $45000 refurbishing his government office.......

    What propaganda are you referring to? When I’m not seeing drag queens in the classroom or seeing students get all dazzled up for dress like a Muslim day, I’m seeing kids being taught CRT, 150 genders, socialism and communism is good and that America isn’t great. It must have paid off because today’s young adults won’t criticize the slavery and genocide in China, they edit movies to keep homosexuality out of China or apologize to China for wishing democracy in Hong Kong or calling Taiwan a country. Where did they learn that?

    So you are against indoctrination, but want to indoctrinate children to be patriotic?

    How about teach children the nations history — good and bad as well as comparison to the rest of the world and then let them decide?

    I think this is an excellent direction. I have long believed that the future of education will have to incorporate some form of online learning. I envision a combination of human and machine interaction with students. With teacher shortages and constant social justice type of issues this is an ideal way to tackle it. Choose the type of instruction you want for your kids.

    For now parents can essentially home-school and use online videos as a resource. In the future I see a much more structured process for online learning.
