Bernie Sanders : Carrier just showed corporations how to beat Donald Trump

We gave to give Trump credit for saving 800 jobs and it only costs the State of Indiana $9,625 per job.

Let' hope that the state of Indiana recovers the $7,700,000 it paid to have Trump save these jobs.

 

Exactly right AND...someone noticed that the Birther boy is filling up his swamp with people that made massive amounts of profits off of bankruptcies and vulture capitalism. The say that they are going to bankrupt the USA to fill their coffers. I'm certain that very soon there will be articles about this take on the who and why Trump is surrounding himself with. Bannon is his Karl Rove and whispering in is ear. We are (*)(*)(*)(*)ed so people need to get their financial affairs in order.

Tell us what you would have done to save those carrier jobs. Trump succeeded at it but the left bashes him anyway. So, enlighten us as to what should have been done as well as the reason Obama didn't do it for the last 8 years.

 

Ok I gave the Trumpeizda credit for the 800 jobs reported as being saved but who us going to save the other 1,300 jobs that are moving to Mexico?

Letting people keep their money isn't welfare. Its less taxation and will without a doubt create incentive to stay as well as create jobs.....as Trump just has proven to you.

 

You don't become the world's greatest economy by forcing businesses to stay. You do it by making it untenable for them to stay away.

Taxes are a cost of business and part of the bottom line cost of producing a good or service, that cost is figured in to the price the consumer pays. Tell me where I'm wrong.

 

They reported he claimed to have saved some jobs. Other than Pence giving them some corporate welfare, what on earth did Trump do?

Maybe Trump simply said if they did not keep jobs in Indiana they will not punish them by simply voiding out contracts. Shades of abusing their potential office in return for cheap publicity.

Because the tax incentives thing does not make sense to me. The company would save more in a year using Mexican labor than they would over the life of the tax giveaway.

 

You do realize states compete for these companies/jobs and you know how they do it? Tax incentives.

Obama loses a full time job with benefits and creates two lesser paying part time jobs without benefits. People work a 16 hr day now to make what they were making before in 8. So what company that was closing their doors in the U.S. did Obama convince to stay?
Also according to you Obama has created 17,280,000 jobs. Name the companies where these staggering jobs exist. My former coworker who was laid off three months ago cant find work and is having trouble putting food on the table. Can you tell her where she and her two children can work?

 

He called the CEO personally and saved the jobs. Again, CBS just bulleted exactly what trump did....in detail. CBS...not FOX.....CBS. But just for giggles......tell us what the current President did to save those carrier jobs? Ill wait for you non answer.

 

And a thousand citizens will be putting money into the community and tax coffers of Indiana and the US instead of taking welfare, how horrible. I imagine union stockholders in Carrier are in fact employees, don't you?

How would it recover anything if carrier left? How much tax revenue does the state make when the company pulls out and moves to another country? Is it more or less than the deal Trump just made? Lets have that factual answer.

Just like Healthcare insurance, the righties don't understand that it is them who will be making up that tax out of their own pockets.

When someone doesn't have insurance, that cost is covered by those who do have insurance thru inflated prices. When Carrier gets a tax break, do they stop using public roads, public services like sanitation, sewer, water, etc ? NO, but don't worry, you will get your taxes raised to pay for it. It amazes me that righties refuse to see that for every dollar given back from a corporation, there is another tax levied to make up that difference. Usually that tax is on the working class.

So 2 things that Trump supporter were using to claim Trump the savior:

1. Tarriffs were going to bring jobs back to the US. This was what was going to "protect the American worker", but instead he gives that BREAK to the corporation with one hand, and then with the other hand he levies a back-end tax on you to pay for the break he gave them. Why didn't he let them go and levy the tariff like he promised he would ? THAT wold protect the american worker !!!!

2. Trump now supports removing the minimum wage. You know, that wage that protects the American worker...


But you and I both know that Trumpeters wont hold him accountable, they never do.
