    No I think the laws that govern immigration are federal. Instead of a wall we could use the money to come up with a effective ID card system for Americans and then have a few billion extra.

    Correct. It would be illegal for ICE to do that.
    You also are subject to arrest on any criminal act you commit.
    DACA is a legal status

    I forgot to add the second part of my post and apparently was editing when you were commenting. "Instead of a wall we could use the money to come up with a effective ID card system for Americans and then have a few billion extra."

    The federal threat of imprisonment from federal officers would be the biggest deterrent to hiring and keeping illegal workers no matter what states try to do.

    Geez....she is not legal...I provided the link to the DHS website highlighting her status has not changed, she is an illegal alien in our country, who's admitted to being here illegally, who's deportation process has be deferred for the time being by the grace of the federal Govt. She is not legal.

    Not even close ... but what I can tell you for certain is that Bernie personally gave away another American job. I'm sure there's at least 1 single mom, or 1 kid trying to repay student loans who's more qualified and deserving of that job. 1 of Bernie's own supporters who got suckered out of a campaign donation, during a rigged 2016 primary.

    We institute universal basic income and we won't need employers. I enjoy watching liberals stradle fences. California won't let employers notify ICE, but let's prosecute them for hiring people they suspect are illegal. Here's a thought ... deport the illegals and build a wall to keep 'em out.

    As far as I remember indoor electricity and plumbing was new to rual America.
    It was still debated weather cars were to be considered a public menace or not.

    In decades past the biggest hurdle was the idea that an effective identity system was the mark of the beast but I think we may be past that by now.

    One thing I thought of but forgot to ask is. Are you employing illegal immigrates or considering employing them?
    Is this why you're favor a 50 billion dollar symbol and not even considering stopping employers watering, fertilizing and protecting this weed?

    Since when did DACA protect criminals? I guess, what's the surprise here? Sanders' whole political belief system is based upon theft, of course he'll surround himself by criminals of all sorts, he has no moral compass...
