We had bars in the windows (East Africa), but they'd use car jacks to twist them and then send in a kid to unlock the doors. They never did it while we were in the house though.
As do I. You missed the point. What would you do if the intruder is in the room where you keep your firearm? That is the other poster was talking about.
We were on the second floor of a two-story house, with what was known as a "rape gate" locked at the top of the stairs.
Of course you're right. I simply assumed that most 2nd Amendment supporters own more than 2 or 3 firearms.
I don't think everyone has one in every room and bathroom, but it reminds me of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" where Tuco had one even in the bathtub while he was bathing.
The Rem 870 is a great pump shotgun, and so is the Mossberg pump. Probably should also have a small, lightweight .380 or 9mm pistol, preferably equipped with a green laser for use at night and concealed-carry, where law permits....
You usually regale us with a lot of special knowledge about Jews and stuff, so I just wondered if Jewish firearms were the same as 'regular people's', is all; thanks for keeping us informed.
Ah, you again... well, we can let the homeowner decide whether he/she WANTS to conceal a firearm or not. It's not my business or yours to decide that for any other law-abiding citizen....
I wish I didn't have to explain what "no need" means. It means there is no requirement to conceal, but obviously you can do it if you want to.
The bulk of my Posts have nothing to do with "Jews and stuff" but I have no control over your narrow obsessions.
I know what might aid you in overcoming your ongoing propensity to be disputatious. In a cocktail glass, put three large ice cubes and an ounce of grenadine. Then, on top of that, pour a shot glass full of a decent-quality, pure rye whiskey. Stir, relax, and enjoy.... It does wonders for me!
Said the voice from under the bed.... reading results from a google search. And yes, MOUT operations includes confronting armed individuals within the building you are clearing. What did you think "clearing" meant? And what the left calls "whataboutism" the rest of the world calls "juxtaposition" and is valid debate tool.
I have a firearm on my person at all times. Sitting here on the couch watching the travel channel, armed with one in the chamber. I've got an extra mag on me as well giving me 14 rds to fight my way to my shotgun, which also has one in the chamber, is ghost loaded, giving me 9 rds of 12 pellet 00 buck. That's 128 projectiles headed towards the bad people pdq. My secondary HD shotgun is the one in the bedroom. My primary is within 6 ft from where I sit to watch TV. There are pistols hidden in different rooms as well. Outside lights, reinforced door jams, locked doors, and a 65lb dog who will defend me and my wife. No half stepping here, we're covered.
~ Several years ago I was told by a Sheriff Deputy that once an intruder enters the home never let them approach . Level off and order them to leave. If they move towards me shoot twice. Find a safe place and call police. Apparently when an intruder see an armed occupant they retreat and run off 90% of the time. The other 10% they want to kill you. Very serious stuff to know and consider before keeping a gun . ~ Absolutely the #1 rule with all firearms .
Is suicide by gun a homicide? Because I have never heard someone committing suicide with pills a drug homicide.
Why the childishness? Anyone can take home defense classes and none of them will say its a good idea to play Rambo and barge into the living room in your pajamas to confront an intruder, but its your home, so please do whatever the heck you want. Childish taunts only make you look foolish. Cool beans tuff guy. Too bad this discussion is not about you. Did he tell you to approach an armed intruder? I'd be surprised if he did, but it seems there are people who think its a good idea. I agree you should not let them approach you either, which is the point I have been sharing here. If they try to enter the room you are in (or your family is in), you should use your firearm.
