Biden administration puts hold on US ammunition shipment to Israel: report

A couple things I'm curious about: Is Biden holding up this ammo shipment to appease the people who hate Israel? And why did congress go through all that bickering about aid to Ukraine and Israel when Biden probably already knew he wasn't going to support Israel?

I'll bet that Biden & Co are quietly letting the anti Israel organizers know about this ammo shipment delay/cancellation so the protests stop and he gets their votes.

However, since you have gone to the trouble of creating a thread on this topic, let’s assume for discussion purposes that this has happened.

First, Netanyahu has an agenda that , first and foremost, is him staying in power above all else.
Second, his policy of slaughtering Gaza residents is not in US interests.
Third, why shouldn’t the US use its leverage to get what it wants ? As in , stopping the slaughter of civilians. Right now the Israeli regime has killed over 10 for one and hasn’t recovered all the hostages.
Fourth, they are poised to slaughter even more civilians in the last corner of Gaza and are doing nothing about the pending famine they have created. Why should the US support this ?

 

Congress authorized military aid, Biden promised military aid, and now Biden isn't keeping his word. Surprise surprise.

Was there a quid pro quo.... we need an impeachment to determine exactly what went on.... Did Biden threaten Bibi with holding military aid?

 

Did anyone here argue what rights a president has? After promising full and unending support for Israel, why is Biden holding back ammo?

 

Because as president, he has the right to ensure all recipients are meeting X, Y and Z.

When previous president withheld aid, no one asked why.

One shipment out of how many? Of course, since it's Biden, his detractors need to make a big deal out of it.

All very valid and rational points. None of that infers any "hatred" of Israel. One can support a nation, but one is not compelled to support actions that are obviously destructive and carry the wrong motives. Because of BIBI's hunger to maintain power, it can be perecieved that the Hamas attack served his purpose and he is capitalizing on it.

That is what a good leader will do. He has to change and adapt his decisions according to the current (and changing) circumstances. Nothing is static. This situation is dynamic and constantly changing.

This (if true) is a strong message to BIBI....... And let's face it , all this killing has not gotten rid of the terrorist group and probably caused more to join the cause.

 

And Kushner's Israeli business deals. All is on the table to help expose corruption from the previous administration.

 

And they don't seem t o think through about the rationale behind his decision. the pressure ,(world wide) is on Israel to stop the mass killing of civilians in order to get the terrorists that they can't seem to find ... So the "collateral damage" is building up into an atrocious level.

 

I believe some believe the civilians being killed are or will grow up to be terrorists, so Biden is promoting terrorism by demanding Israel to use more targeted attacks.
