I got one, two in fact and I pocketed the money. I got taxed for it, too. Will the people who have their loans forgiven be taxed?

 

I think they have made bad decisions too in probably cases you believe they made good decisions. No system is perfect and we are a representative republic for a reason. We don’t get a say in everything because most people think a constitution is something you can change by law. The fact you say it’s not perfect leaves the impression you believe some should be ignored. Is that what you’re saying?

I think it had unfixable flaws from the beginning that have become much worse given how things have gone in modern politics. But a constitution enshrining rights that can't be overridden on a poltical whim? Any good system would have that.

I think we need to start over and make a new government eventually.

That is exactly what happened to me. They took it back with about 90% of my tax return in 20 22.

It was nothing but a loan and they actually expected us to repay it.

When I saw that my student loans were growing at $3 a day I panicked and paid them off right away even though we're in Biden's days of student loan forgiveness. Basically I don't trust Biden to come through with it.

But Basically our system of student loans is broken and has become too expensive. At some point we will have to fix it and forgive those loans regardless of what the people who were financially responsible and paid their's off have to say.

 

Breaking the law is what politicians do, going back decades. The Unpatriot Act is 20 years old.

 

Bwahahaha... what politician DOESN'T break the law? Biden and Trump certainly do on a regular basis. At least some kids trying to get started out in life will catch a break. Otherwise the money would go towards some stupid **** in Israel or Ukraine. I'd rather it go to college kids. College is criminally expensive anyway.

We want government to forgive student debt for millions. If you don’t like it, go vote for the guy who says “ I will not forgive student debt”.

 

I paid mine and they can pay theirs. If they were so stupid as to spend it on a useless degree without market demand then that is their poor choices.
