Now North Korea knows how it is done, China knows how to whip Taiwan. Biden by flying his flag of surrender gave all of them valuable lessons. Putin can go wild now.

I remember early in a recent Presidential election season when my top two picke were Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.

No, he accepted responsibility. I heard the speech, so spare me from the Trump-The-Victim lines. It gets old.

Biden hasn’t surrendered anything. You are really full of crap. The 82nd Airborne has been deployed and we have regained control of the Kabul Airport. If it becomes necessary we will retaliate with everything we have. However Biden and his diplomatic and military team is not panicking nor are they backing out of their promise to get our people out of that hellhole.

Time for that to happen was when Trump was elected our 45th president. But Democrats waged war on him.

He didn't accept responsibility. He bragged he made the right decision. Who here believes that?

Biden does not want to fight the Taliban. Neither do the 300,000 Afghani soldiers or their leaders who we armed, supplied, fed and paid for 20 years. Trump and Biden both pledged to get out of there. Trump failed to after 4 full years as commander in chief of the US Military. Let’s wait and see if Biden makes good on his campaign promise.

He did not brag. He said he believes in his heart that getting out of there is the right thing to do. Obviously the Afghani public sees the government backed by US occupying forces as puppets and traitors. As long as the Taliban do not start a shooting war with US military and US civilians killed, we should just get the hell out like we said we would for over a year now. After 20 years of foreign rule, there is obviously a lot of bad blood over there. Early in this conflict, many civilians were killed over there and there were many atrocities reported against the native people there.

I don't think you realize how limited our options for retaliation are right now. If the Taliban decide to close the airport, they can, and there's nothing we can reasonable do to stop them. If they plant some mortars in the dense neighborhoods of Kabul and start launching mortars at the airport from backyards and alleyways between apartment buildings, they could crater the runway and start killing our soldiers, civilians, and allies pretty much at will. I doubt any American president would have the stomach for the massive civilian casualties that would be entailed in trying to stop such an attack, and I'm certain Biden does not. Rather than having short turn-around times from somewhere like Bagram (~25 miles), our much-vaunted air support now has to spend many hours flying from, and returning to, somewhere like Qatar or a CVN in the Arabian Sea. We can't reasonable sustain significant CAS operations over Kabul now.

And we don't have the ground forces necessary to push out into the city and create a defensive perimeter to stop these sorts of attacks. We're all just praying the Taliban feel more like letting us evacuate than killing infidels for the next couple of weeks.

In the chaos after Biden's costly impetuous disaster on American fights to get SOME AFGHANS WHO HELPED US OUT OF THE COUNTRY. IT’S NOT GOING WELL:

ECP = Entry Control Point at the airport.
SIV = Special Immigration Visa, given to Afghans who helped us.
“The son in the wheelchair was injured by a taliban IED. That family came to Farah on Biden’s promise.”

And that's the "value" of Biden's word.

No one is addressing the issue of " Why should the US spend treasure and lives fighting a war that the Afghans won't fight for themselves??/..........particularly after having some of the best in the world teach them how. When the Afghan leader runs into another country............ there is little more to say about how invested they / he was in defending his country. Many is critical of of Biden........... as if that his helping the situation;. We need to examine this situation as the big picture , with all the moving parts.......assess what went wrong......and LEARN from it. And accept this situation with DIGNITY..........

If the Taliban decides to start killing Americans then I and every red blooded American would support full military retaliation. The Taliban leaders would be idiots to start a shooting war with America after they have just walked in and taken control of what they consider their country without firing a shot.

Taliban leaders are on the air answering questions posed by international press corps right now and interacting with UN officials. Evidently the Taliban had forged agreements with regional leaders and members of what they and a majority of the people consider a puppet government set up by the invading forces.

Evidently, a critical mass of the members of Afghani Vichy government and armed forces decided to side with the native Taliban to stop further bloodshed and waste of resources in their extremely poor war weary nation. I am sure that our joint chiefs are meeting daily to plan responses to whatever happens from this point on. I am also sure that our leading diplomats are now interacting with the heads of the newly established government to try to make the transition as painless, bloodless and inexpensive as possible for all interested parties. As an American, I certainly hope that Biden and his team are successful in this endeavor.

Irresponsible? It is American tradition! Remember Vietnam? Remember how ISIS got American equipment left by Iraqis army? The next one can be American made equipment left in Taiwan.

No one is addressing the FACT that America's PRIDE has been seriously wounded............ ergo the anger, the finger pointing and other reactive behavior. This country should have learned before......NOT to start something they have trouble finishing. There is a history......... and those that don't' learn from history............repeat their stupid mistakes ............

America has done better when someone else starts the war.

911 was not n invasion...........it was a terrorist attack...........and should have been dealt with as such. But Bush wanted to make a big sensational statement and DRAMATIC response. . He has TWO wars that HE started......... and some day there will be reckoning.

Mine hasn't. None of my friends have.

We sacrificed blood and treasure for 20 years trying to help another country be free. It failed because they don't want it badly enough.

That is hardly any reason for us to have our pride hurt.

Keep in mind that we first attacked because of 911. But after that it became an effort to build a new nation. We also prevented another terrorist attack like 911 for 20 years. Most of the Taliban involved back then are old men if they're not dead.

Consider it your reward for electing trump. Had you not put a two-bit psychopathic thug in office, we would certainly be in a very different place,
