Bill Clinton was the biggest embarrassment this nation has ever seen. Those polls all during his tenure are all fake! Those pollsters are a bunch of hacks who selectively edit out the survey votes they want and discard the ones that don't give them the results they want. The do the same for Bush. Bush was popular, but the polls are all fake. They say they do it for demographic reasons but all they are doing is throwing out right leaning responses in favor of left leaning responses. It's very easy for them to manipulate the results of polls.

This is what Bill Clinton will be remembered in history for. Not how great a president he was, (he wasn't).

I believe the point of the opening post was that you cannot doubt a poll. Well, just ask the Remain vote in Brexit. I'll play along. Ronald Reagan may have been the Greatest of All Time. How blessed we were to see both the careers of Mohamed Ali and Ronaldus Maximus.

 

The Republicans destroyed Bill's image for their own political reasons. His only mistake was to knuckle under and say anything.

Monica was 22 years old and deliberately set out to seduce Bill. She was not some innocent child. It was a private matter which should have been left private.The real scandal is that the Republican politicians did not do this.

If anything. the Lewinsky scandal is the best proof possible that the Republican party as presently constituted (ie minus Trump) does not have the best interests of the nation at heart. All its present power structure cares about is maintaining its own current power and privilege. It cared nothing for the legacy of one of our best presidents in recent history, the effect of its trash talk campaign on the morale or morals of the country, or the possible international political effects of its filthy character assaults on our own elected President. It revealed, for all to see, just how little it cares about the safety and well being of the general US population.

Therefore, when more recently, the Republican party undermined our country's financial status and caused all our interest rates to go up by shaking worldwide confidence in our credit as a country by refusing to authorize payment of our bills, no one should have been surprised.

Now, the same party, realizing if Trump gets in there will be a big shakeup, is trying to find ways to invalidate Trump so that they can weasel out of supporting their own fairly elected candidate. God forbid the lucrative weapons contracts, rural energy ripoffs, GMO foods monopolies, environmental poisonings, and forced pregnancies they are salivating over do not come to fruition as planned.

Maybe, if they destroy Trump, voting for another Clinton would not be such a bad idea after all...

But then I remember the last seven years...

I'm not surprised that liberals and democrats don't take sexual harassment, sexual assault and rape of women very seriously. I'm not surprised in fact that they think it is a joke. This is why Hillary will lose because she doesn't take Bill's assaults on women seriously either and in fact has attacked many of them personally and tried to destroy or threaten them. Go ahead and laugh. You wouldn't be laughing if it were your sister who was raped.

Blaming Monica for Bill Clinton's bad judgement just doesn't fly with me. Yes both of them made mistakes. But Bill Clinton is such a sleazy old man that he would take advantage of a young woman like that is despicable. We have laws against sexual harassment. What he did broke the law. Sexual harassment is not a private matter. And perhaps none of this would have come out except for his history of sexually assaulting women. This was not the Republicans doings. Monica was given a paid position in the White House because of her "special position" in the White House. So that basically turned Monica Lewinsky into a paid whore, and the taxpayer was footing the bill. That was also illegal. When the Lewinsky scandal broke, it uncovered many crimes and caused Bill and Hillary to commit more in an effort to cover it up. They could have and should have been charged with many more crimes. The real scandal is that republican allowed the Clinton's to go unpunished.

Oh B.S. We are the party of freedom and economic opportunity. The democrats are the socialist party of big government in partnership with big business. We believe in the Constitution and free market capitalism and democrats believe in socialism and government control over the economy. That is the bottom line. A free people is in the best interest of the nation, not one that is controlled by big centralized government.

If you want cheaper energy we need more of it. Democrats stand in the way of cheap energy which will benefit the poor.

GMO foods, environmental poisonings and forced pregnancies? All of our food has been genetically modified for ages. It's not harmful. Environmental poisoning? By who? Where's the EPA? And forced pregnancies? Name one woman that was force to get pregnant?

Due to Gingrich and the R Congress, the economy under Clinton was fairly good, although it was sliding when he left office. There never was a surplus.
