Bill Maher Tears Into Entitled Liberal Whiners Who Hate America and Have No Perspective

In a way, Maher is selling the point that living in America is hard work and that civic engagement isn’t for the light-hearted. You must share this country with people whose views you might find abhorrent. Both sides are guilty of intolerance on this front at times, but the Left is the only group that is actively seeking to stifle debate with speech codes and overly garrulous legal arguments for why hate speech should be outlawed. In short, the Left uses its institutional power to come after its enemies. They do this because they don’t want a healthy discussion, allowing their shallow agenda items to be eviscerated, as they usually are, in less than a minute. Just wanting an open forum or being tolerant of other views is viewed as anathema to leftists.”…

Maher is right about what he said. He’s very effective at pointing out all of the hypocrisy of the urban progressive left. Calling out the America hating by the far left is key to note here.

that story seemed strange to me, the parent was willing to pay for an abortion for her daughter, won't raise the child if the daughter can't... wonder if there was some race issues involved (called the father the baby daddy, "who I suspect is the baby daddy"), seems weird, but we do not know entire story, the daughter is weird, but why treat the baby like that, just seems odd - seemed like a made up story to me, but who knows

 

I don't think anyone meant to say that living in America is harder than other countries... but certainly it still requires work that's harder than many Americans are willing to accept. Certain utopian fantasists refuse to accept that we can't yet mold everyone to fit in their vision.

I read this, and see a big mistake- one far too common. When a person is confused and chooses to deny it or deceive themselves, it is their choice. But to help them believe the deception is your choice.
We have the power to make our own choices, establish our own values and identities.

Supporting someone else's delusion is not good anything. Not good parenting, not good teaching practice nor good governing practice. Many things are negotiable in life- but your gender is not one of them.
