Well the verdict is in. Ted Cruz is a foreigner and because of that He Cannot Run For President!

Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution REQUIRES a person who is running for the office of President of the United States to be a Natural Born Citizen of which Cruz is not. Cruz can thus kiss his chances of ever running for the presidency Goodbye. End of story.

"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."​

 

But if he were born in Kenya, and schooled in Indonesia, under a different name, that would be perfectly fine.......

 

I guess, it depends on who backs you up. If it's Arab sheikhs, then you will have no problems with surpassing the Constitution. Or any other US law if you need.

I wonder if that sheriff realizes that neither George Washington nor the first 10 or so Presidents could have been natural born citizens of the US since the US didn't exist then. Are their Presidencies therefore invalid and the USA has doesn't really exist?

Seriously, the Natural Born requirement was put in the Constitution so Caudillos like Napoleon couldn't come here and use substantial overseas followings and resources to take over the country. Seeing as most of the rest of the world logically fears that from us nowadays I think that silly idea has long outlived it's usefulness.

 

Obama has produced his birth certificate (actually the state of Hawaii has), which is what every president has done when requested. Now, you want another version...next you will require genetic testing and geneology reports.

True story. If someone asked me for my birth certificate I would have a hard time producing it. Not sure where it is right now.

Like the president, Cruz was born to an American mother and a foreign-born father. Cruz is eligible ... These birther pin heads can't read the law. Makes no difference to me. I wouldn't vote for Cruz.

Actually, Obama is an open book.. You have been listening to fools who can't read the law and don't know the legal definition of "jurisdiction".. He was born in Hawaii but even if he were miraculously born in British East Africa before Kenya had an international airport, he would still be a "natural born US citizen".

I for one think Arnold did a great job as California's governor - he wasn't some silly neo-con wreck as some people expected, but closer to the paleos. It would be silly to prevent such an american success story to become President because he was born Austrian, not?
