On Instagram, Black Lives Matter Los Angeles also joined in the celebration, insisting that Hamas’ “resistance must not be condemned, but understood as a desperate act of self-defense.”

“We, too, understand what it means to be surveilled, dehumanized, property seized, families separated, our people criminalized and slaughtered with impunity, locked up in droves and when we resist they call us terrorist,” continued the chapter.

Let us again revisit just one event from the Hamas attack

One of the most gruesome scenes took place at the Nova music festival, where over 260 attendees were killed by assailants, some of whom arrived in vans and some of whom came on motorized paragliders. Survivors reported that many of the women were raped before being murdered.

When you see support of the attack from Democrat politicians and Democrat voting groups such as BLM, you realize the hatred that lies within that political party. One would think that such a horrific attack would unit folks. Babies were killed, kids were beheaded.

 

Thankfully we’re seeing mostly condemnation from the left.

Does support for Hamas' war crimes constitute an actual crime then? We call out support and aid to enemies of the nation as a crime. When do we suppose these folks will start being indicted?

 

BLM has turned into a disgusting political machine.
The idea was fine at the start, but has morphed into something ugly and counter productive.
Sometimes I'm tempted to side with the Palestinians, as they have been screwed over, but there is no way anything like this should be celebrated or supported.
BLM should be sent to the scrap heap of "has been" political groups.

I tend to agree, but you have to recognize that international "support" comes in many flavors, some of which rise to the level of criminality as defined by the law. When BLM et al rejoice in the slaughter of innocent lives because they are jewish, scrutiny needs to start. Like are these groups funneling money in support of those terrorists.

BLM didn't co-opt the movement. The movement made the mistake of adopting the name of an existing group of trained Marxist wackjobs.

 

In BLM's defense, they are used to it, because every time a rapper holds a venue, someone gets shot.....

 

BLM was despicable from the outset. Nothing has changed except some outsiders now realize what the truth is.

 

Let this be the death rattle of BLM as an organization that anybody takes seriously. Identifying and sympathizing with the human garbage that committed the atrocities over the weekend literally destroys any credibility you have. BLM is now a grievance-only group, with no solutions and no moral mandate. What integrity they may have had that they did not piss all over during the Floyd riots in 2020 is now utterly gone.

Lets be clear, the Israeli government is not innocent in all of this either. Their policies create the situation where desperate people turn to monsters and garbage to fight for them. But no, the Israeli government is not responsible for the methods Hamas has used. Only Hamas and those who support them are. Hamas is a group of human garbage and I suspect their leadership has absolutely no interest in actually achieving anything because then Hamas would have no reason to exist.

BLM was marxist/socialist from its inception. Politically motivated riots in the streets, one of its tools. The oppressed against the oppressor.

 

Most blm supporters I know are middle aged middle class white people who aren’t into riots.

 

IMO, they had an honorable and just agenda at first (do something about overt police violence), but were taken over by some who were not honorable and just used the decent movement it started off to be for their personal gain and push unrelated political agenda, such as this recent example.
I do think the originators had a good reason. After that, there was a lot of advantage taken, by BLM and many who used the protests for cover to loot and pillage.
