You are asking us what is the point of the story you chose to share?

Interracial dating is now a political issue? Are we in a time warp?

The blacks! It's those damn blacks!!

Stormfront lite...or maybe not so lite. Like I wrote yesterday, right wingers are obsessed with race.

Its news for dumb people. They always run feel good stories for the gullible. The real story is why the teacher was forced to pay for her own supplies. Youll notice the same reporters didnt touch that story. It might lead to a corrupt politician who they support.

Teacher Sabrina Drude’s husband took this photo after good Samaritan Lester Brown brought her to tears by purchasing her school supplies at Wal-Mart. (Photo: Sabrina Drude)

This sexy teacher was already married and she was shopping with her husband, who took this photo. Brown is a father of five and he works as a pastor and a re-entry specialist at the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. I don't think Brown helped her out to hook up with her. The strange thing is that Sabrina had to foot the bill for school supplies. In Russia, teachers can claim work expenses.

There is something called personal responsibility that a growing segment of this society has lost. What makes a person working at a fast food restaurant or picking vegetables think they have any business making babies? Those things are expensive - they need to be fed, clothed, housed, taken to the doctor, etc.. So yes, I *do* wish the working poor didn't exist: I wish my fellow citizens made better choices. And conversely I wish our society would disincentivize bad choices rather than reward them. Your choices should not become my responsibility and vice versa. You break it, you buy it...

I understand that not everyone is equally capable and I am happy to provide for those who truly can't provide for themselves. But this idea that you are entitled to a share of my hard-earned dollars because you have not made the effort to aspire beyond flipping burgers is something I reject out of hand.

Let's see. How about the Constitution and the Supreme court. (See Skinner v Oklahoma 1942)

Prison are full of people that made bad decisions, and they are expensive to run. Should we go ahead and institute a death penalty for every crime? Then you wouldn't have to pay for them either.

Maybe you should go back and reread my first post on this topic. I did not advocate anyone having to pay out of their personal accounts for these school supplies. I pointed out that in this area businesses step-up and cover the shortfalls. Nothing comes out of anyone's personal pockets. I also would commend anyone that would step-up and pay the bill for a school teacher that was forced to buy these supplies out of their own pocket. I have not asked you to do anything but sit on your wallet, and be the miserly liberal that you already are. I know, your going to claim that you are a conservative. After all, you spoke of personal responsibility like a good conservative, right? But you countered that by advocating limiting procreation to those that can afford it. That is a hardcore liberal concept. You do realize that is the whole premises behind the whole Pro-Choice movement. Why else do you think Planned Parenthood targets the neighborhoods of low income blacks for their abortion mills.

Ain't it great! All y'all have to do is knock out kids. We will feed them, clothe them, provide them with healthcare and school supplies.

If - as was posted above, the picture was taken by the woman's husband and the man was a pastor and father of five - is true, doesn't
the OP owe it to the woman and the pastor to make a public apology for his stupid and bigoted opening statement and thread title?

A true man would. A little weasel of a human being would not. OP's choice.

How about he was just trying to do something nice?
    Note:Her husband took the pic.
Really teachers should have an allowance and budget for supplies like that.
When I was growing up,schools were entirely funded by the state, not the Fed.I do believe they used to have allowances.
:roflol: Our 3rd grade teacher took us on a field trip to the "teacher supply shop" She spent $56.

The OP really needs to publicly apologize for denigrating the reputations of both the pastor and the teacher (and her husband).

Still waiting for the OP to apologize for creating this defamation thread of a married woman (her husband took the picture) and a pastor.

Not even remotely relevant to my position. Try again.

Please try making at least some semblance of a rational relationship to the topic. Your continued attempt to move the goalposts here betrays a pathetically weak argument.

Which has nothing to do with what you presumably responded to: My position that you are not entitled to ask (demand) me to pay for your babies and that you should not make them if you can pay for them yourself.

I think it's fine if businesses want to give charity back to their communities. But this ignores my point that people should not make babies unless they can pay for them.

I don't think you asked me to do anything. And you can toss around labels all you want - irrelevant to the discussion as they may be.

Again, you are making some very unfounded assumptions.

Why should I pay for the outcome of someone else's decisions?

Welfare, WIC, food stamps, Section 8 housing? These are all results of people making bad life decisions - people refusing to take responsibility for their actions. Use whatever label you wish, again irrelevant.

Moving the goalposts again I see. Good lord man can you actually stick to a topic????? :omg:

Look, if you can't understand what you are posting, that is too bad. You have said that people that do not have the money should not procreate. The Supreme Court ruled that the right to procreate is absolute. There is no economic barrier. So, if that does not fit your fancy, then go to the country that your ID is claiming, China. They have no problem limiting who can and can't have children. I am sure that you would love their idea of therapeutic abortions. You know, wait until the full term baby has crowned, and then inject the cranium with formaldehyde. Then the mother delivers the dead baby. That must really float our boat.

But in this case, I never asked for you, or any other individual, to provide additional support. I have suggested that San Antonio get some of their businesses to pitch in. Yet somehow you consider yourself to be a business in San Antonio, and somehow that means you. Strangely enough, my atlas has San Antonio in Texas. not in California or China. So, how you thought that meant you is beyond me.

But you have in fact attempted to make this about your hatred of low income families. It isn't working. Your hatred has been noted, but it has nothing to do with the OP or my response to it.

I understand perfectly what I am posting. I am not going to allow you to move the goalposts.

Yes, I believe it is irresponsible to bring children into this world if you are not prepared to care for them - and that takes money.

I don't disagree. But again, I am not going to allow you to move the goalposts and the supreme court affirmation to which you refer is irrelevant to my position.

You are correct.Nor did I ever claim otherwise.

Again, not even remotely rationally related to the position I have taken in this thread.

I lived in China for three years. I know the system well. It illustrates precisely the dangers of ceding your personal autonomy to the government, as you advocate by suggesting that I ought to be compelled to participate in the raising of other people's children.

Now you're just being intentionally pedantic, aren't you?

We have a moral obligation to support as many children as parasites choose to knock out.

The story itself is stupid, but I'm glad it stirred up some ignorant ire.

if this bothers you, you should feel stupid. At least as stupid as a liberal might feel getting angry about a story about a white couple that have great jobs and do great things and have super children.

A nice black guy met a nice white girl and they liked each other. Big whoop.
