Honestly, I'm at a bit of a crossroads in trying to answer this.

Half of me agrees, that it's an imbalance in that white people can't be racist yet minorities can. The other half says that white people have lost the right to disparage other races due to the countries history of abuse.

I guess it comes down to the fact that when white people say that kind of stuff, it drums up a lot of bad memories for a lot of people (or the history handed down by their families) whereas minorities being able to say this stuff freely is a new thing.

White guilt? I dunno. Logically it doesn't make sense, emotionally I don't have an issue with the dichotomy.

I have a lot of the same issues with Aboriginals up here in Canada. At what point do we say 'we have given you enough, stop wasting it in the bottle', yet on the other hand, we still have the legacy of hate and pain left upon them that we have to fix.

    see my response to Brewskier.

I'm not sure how to form it logically, but emotionally it works out. White Guilt? I dunno.

I believe that both sides should be listened to, rather then just one or the other.

I say let her go. One less racist in America. If only many other racists would follow her lead.

So because of real or imagined historical "abuse" by whites, minorities can freely abuse white people? That's what you are advocating?

My response to Azealia Banks and all these racists is simple:

If you don't like America, get the hell out. Take your crime, take your disease, take your drugs, take your stupidity, take your filth, and just get the hell out.

Thankfully, I've never heard of her before. I have a feeling if I knew her or heard her so-called music, I'd probably hate her, too. I know, without question, I'd hate that crap she calls music. And I'd be willing to bet it contains more N words than the boys from Oklahoma's song.

    Imagined? Right.

I wasn't advocating anything. I was explaining my thought process with this issue. I don't think anyone should be hating on anyone, but that isn't the world I live in, so therefore I have to figure out how to deal with very complicated issues like this one.

Half of me fully agrees with you.

    The other half doesn't.

In the end, Hate doesn't get anyone anywhere. People should be held to the same standard, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon. Especially with how polarized Society is right now.

She needs to make a correction to her statement. She needs to say "I hate this country...I hate everything about America....except all da money".

She can take her stupid "black" attitude and haul it off to Europe.

And Texas and South Carolina want to secede because they don't want to be a PART OF THE UNITED STATES of tyranny!! What the hell is the difference?? Black skin and rapper music or white skin and country music? That is the ONLY difference.

Don't know who she is, don't care to know. based solely on her words she is ignorant therefore not someone I would willingly align myself with. While the OP is correct in their assertions that if the racial identities were different the uproar from the so called tolerant progressive left would be enormous, there really isn't much that can be done about it. Society has fallen to a point where critical thinking, independent thought, logical reasoning and the like have fallen out of favor to be replaced with group think, mimicry and regurgitation. Is it any wonder we are in the condition, both economically and socially, that we are in?

Having to listen to folks whine about poor minorities is worse than anything minorities have to endure these days.

    What a goofy post.

Just join ISIS already and get it over with. Your post is just as delusional as they are.

You're the one making the connection between white skin and country music. You tell us.

I'm thinking these guys probably don't fit in your white guilt world though:

The new age of black/white division is happening at light speed and seems particularly thriving among young blacks. Oh wait...HANDS UP, DON'T SHOOT!

Please tell me you don't believe any of that and were just trying to elicit a response....

I have yet to figure out why I should give a crap about any singer, dancer, or actor(tress)' s opinion on anything even if I enjoy their music or acting. It's not like that many buy education with their money or have 140 IQ's. I find most to be quite stupid judging from their actions truth be known

I also see a high-speed increase in many areas... but rap music is not one of them. You don't hear this message in the mainstream "MTV" stuff, but it certainly exists in the more underground element.

Thing is she has been pretty privileged, and doesn't even come from that genre.

She's just being vocal about her feelings and will soon be issuing an apology.

Though I am quite sure none of us are asking for one... lol

Unlike JayZ she has lyrics that go beyond: "...uh, uh...."

If she's looking to find a place without racism she may have to find another solar system.
