death penalty should only be used for war criminals, and criminals who admit to their guilt/have physical evidence tying them to the crime/have knowledge that only the murderer could know.

Not really, there is no guarantee someone someplace wouldn't let him back out. I said all along whatever the jury decided I would be fine with. I am fine with this. Let's face it, with the number of appeals and other stuff, the death penalty has become in quite a lot of cases life in prison.

Sweet. Shame they can't whack that evil mother too just for being a supporter of her seriously broken children. I'd be all for burning at the stake for that chick.

Ship his ass to Texas so it's over and done by next month. I hate how these pansy ass states drag it out. Give the guy a 2 week appeal; then get the noose ready.

Negative.........that turns him into a martyr, and the possibility that at some future date, when it is politically expedient for us, or some Islamic country like Iran, or Iraq or Saudi Arabia, to offer a prisoner exchange. Too bad the cops got his brother in the gun battle, would have liked to seen both of them on trial. Those smiles on their faces as they walked into the Boston Marathon crowd, with the backpacks loaded the bombs, were disgusting. Plus, they made no mistake about what they wanted to accomplish, murder, on a mass scale, because they set off two of them. There can, and probably will, come a time, in the future, when some innocent American is captured, or an ambassador, or aviator, by ISIS or an Islamic controlled state, and to get him back before he, or she, is beheaded on the internet, a deal could be made releasing this guy doing life without parole. Average wait time from conviction, sentencing, and date of execution in America, is something like 9-11 years, we don't need to wait on this one, just insert the needle.............

In the US, if you carry out the torture, maiming and killing of thousands and millions of people, you are a hero.

    WRONG, Ronstar, WRONG

As long as he lives he is a security risk to America and Americans at home and abroad.
Some Islamist will commit an act and demand his release or we witness the killing of a basket of cute American puppies
    or equivalent.
Remember the Munich Olympics perps. Same story.

There's already scuttlebutt coming from the Obama White House that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is now on Obama's "A" list for an executive pardoned in 2016.

It will be Obama's last defense of Islam before he leaves the White House.

    The issue is not Russia.
The issue is whether America is going to be a Righteous nation or continue under the various war crazy regimes that we routinely have.

It's sad to see a boy like that throwing his life away in an attempt of mass murdering in the name of a violent ideology, and to what avail, only to further increase the hate and the destruction... his execution will change nothing, and i think there'll be more attacks like this in the upcoming future.

Just giving him what he wants. I do not agree with it. As for terrorists doing something to get him released they will just make up some other excuse to do a terrorist act instead.

Oh, hell, don't get all choked up about it. The way we administer "justice" in this country it'll be at least twenty damned years before they actually get around to killing this miserable little bastard. That's a big part of why the death penalty is NOT a deterrent to crime -- it typically takes a decade or two for sentences to be carried out!

[IMG] "Oh, no! Tomorrow?! Aren't I going to get my mandatory seventh trial...?! This is UNJUST!"
