ok i got a WILD one.... ever notice that almost every single messageboard on the INTERNET.. could be about politics, BMW, photography anything basically..
the majority of the posters do not trust our american government.. the majority agree that the government does some pretty bad things.. even LIE from time to time.."crazy i know" but you ever notice there are those same debunkers that never open themselves up.. you never know if their a dem or a rep.. you never know what side hes on..they dont usually get involved in any discussion of minor importance... but if you make posts stating that you dont trust the government...or you think the government is lying.. then you see them all strike back at that poster.. always like 3-5 debunkers.. that are on the forum every day.. for many hours..you just have to say "yea they lied" debunker automaticly jumps on that person.. say if i say..."the CFR wants to destroy americas soverenty... the debunker will say wheres your proof? you post a link where a CFR member said that... the debunker says..oh..that guy is dead now...or that guy wasnt in the CFR or that guy wasnt a higher up member..or the CFR has no power in washington.. and the whole comment about the CFR trying to distroy americas soverenty is forgotten.. do i really need proof david rockafeller is a bad guy? bill gates says he wants to use vaccines to depopulate the planet.. but debunkers will explain how bill gates is just a computer nerd and has no power.....

nobody has ever noticed this odd thing "debunker" i bet if you go to the mall or movies... or any social gathering..work or whatever... MOST people you meet will be conspiracy theorists...about something! how is it that debunkers..

    1..never question the government
    2..defend the government
    3..attack anyone questioning the government
4..devot so much time to this act
5..have to much data at their disposal..

how is it possible? first of all... people who do trust the government 100% dont care if you dont.. in real life...
in real life they dont give it a second thought if you are a conspiracy theorist... infact it might be your best friend..why is it "online" that debunkers feel its so important to devot thousands of hours every year to simply defend everything the government does..

wanna see something funny? ask a debunker that you have delt with in the past....simply ask them to list their conspiracy theories they have.... if they do.. work them from that angle..

what would it mean if...... you met someone who didnt want you questioning ANYTHING the government did? what if they themselves would dare not question the government.. do you know anyone like that in real life?

Those people are government disinfo agents who don't even believe their own arguments. Almost every forum has some and they usually outnumber the conspiracy theorists.

    http://www.opposingdigits.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1222
    (excerpts)
    --------------------------------------------------
They may work in teams, supporting each other and giving the illusion of popular support on the net.
    --------------------------------------------------
    5) Their disdain for "conspiracy theorists" and, usually, for those who in any way believe JFK was not killed by LHO. Ask yourself why, if they hold such disdain for conspiracy theorists, do they focus on defending a single topic discussed in a NG focusing on conspiracies? One might think they would either be trying to make fools of everyone on every topic, or simply ignore the group they hold in such disdain. Or, one might more rightly conclude they have an ulterior motive for their actions in going out of their way to focus as they do.
    --------------------------------------------------

    http://cryptome.org/2012/07/gent-forum-spies.htm

They're trying to keep Americans thinking inside the box. I really don't know how much success they have. Nobody I know would fall for their BS.

    wow!!! crickets!!

notice "debunkers" avoid this thread like the plague?...

heres why..... if a "debunker" posts in this thread they will instantly loose all credibility as a debunker... and if they admit any conspiracy.. their career is finished.

No, it's simply that the thread starts with a flawed premise, based on a ridiculously untrue generalization, and gets worse from there. There's nothing really to "respond" to, since it's pure nonsense.

Are you kidding? There are some things for which there is so much proof that they can't be called conspiracies any more. I talked about that on another thread.
    http://www.politicalforum.com/consp...vice-conspiracy-theorists.html#post1061186340

The proof that 9/11 was an inside job and that they never went to the moon is so crushing that anyone who tries to obfuscate it will just end up looking silly.

what are the odds.... that we have a government that has LIED to us thousands of times... over the past 100 years... lie after lie after lie... and you have "smart" debunkers... that have limitless amounts of information at their disposal...and they have NEVER questioned anything known liers say and do...not one conspiracy theory they have..

    what does that point to?

I do not trust the Federal Government any further than I can throw them.

(Unless the subject is trusting them to take my tax dollars, spend them on useless, frivolous pork programs, and paying the salaries of a legion of lazy, non-productive government servants that is. And in the process, driving us deeper and deeper into debt, borrowing from other nations and banks, and spending like their is no tomorrow. THAT I can trust them to do.)

    Now, onto the topic of 'how to get more posters to take notice of this thread';

I am not going to name names, because the moderators have chastised me (and even penalized me) for correcting other poster's spelling, grammar, and capitalization.
So, this isn't aimed at anyone in particular, mind you. It's just me posting some helpful spelling advice for anyone passing by who might welcome such help:

    * It's not spelled, 'bran' it's spelled, 'brand'.

    * It's not spelled, 'their', but in this context rather, it's spelled, 'they're'.

    * It's not spelled, 'distroy' it's spelled, 'destroy'.

    * It's not spelled, 'soverenty' it's spelled, 'sovereignty'.

    * It's not spelled, 'devot' it's spelled, 'devote'.

    * 'america' should be capitalized, as in, 'America'.

    * 'bill gates' should be capitalized, as in, 'Bill Gates'.

    * 'washington' should be capitalized, as in, 'Washington' or 'Washington DC'.

Again, this is not aimed at any one poster, this is just general advice for all web forum visitors.
People will usually stand up and take notice when an original post is well written and when all the words are spelled correctly.

On the other hand, most people will read one or two sentences into a posting, discover gross spelling, grammatical, and capitalization errors, and conclude that the original poster is somehow intellectually inferior.
I'm not saying that's the case in this thread, but the advice is sound no matter the thread we might be potentially discussing.

    Now, groupthink, as to your suggestion;

I do not have any conspiracy theories that I can name.
I DO however have some personal theories about our government, and you can choose to try to debunk them or not:

    * Our Federal Government is inefficient, and they are extremely poor stewards of our tax dollars.

    * Corruption runs rampant in our Federal Government, and Washington DC is a cesspool of waste, fraud, and abuse.

    * Most of our elected Representatives and Senators should have been retired many years ago.

    * The political process in this country is morally bankrupt. In order to get elected, you have to raise money. In order to raise money, you have to schmooze financiers and cronies. By the time you are elected, you OWE those people something (political access, favors, kickbacks, influence) and so the cycle of corruption is firmly set by the time you serve your first day in office.

    Thanks for humoring me.
    Please carry on.

See, this is the problem.... You're creating a strawman. I don't see any posters saying they believe the government never lies, or that it's right 100% of the time. No such posters exist.

Again, this thread is based on a false premise.

Why is it any weirder than what you do, which is posting on those boards ONLY about supposed government lies?

When one starts with a completely bull(*)(*)(*)(*) premise, the conclusions are bound to be just as flawed. Your claim that debunkers don't say anything about themselves is patently false and based on ignorance and a desire to insult those who you don't agree with.

I live in Denver and specialize in software development. I am part owner of a company and technically the CIO/CTO. I have a wife and three step kids. I am decidedly conservative and dislike Obama and his policies. I am active in local politics and like to find protests where Alex Jones worshipers are so I can (*)(*)(*)(*) them off by stating the truth. This is all stuff I've talked about in other sections of this and other forums. Just because you either read the posts and chose to ignore them or never read the posts and decide to make up claims based on ignorance doesn't change the fact you are wrong about your claims.

 The only way I can do it is with the help of my wife. You are looking at the stereotype of three stepkids and thinking that must be bad. The stereotype doesn't live up to reality in many ways.

That isn't news. The government lies all the time. As much as totally idiotic conspiracy theorists claim? No. Enough to be ever vigilant? Yes. Is it going to get worse? If Obama gets re-elected, most certainly.

But my point is, that's not true. They do all the time. I know a lot about many of the people here that post against the stupid conspiracy theories, both personally and politically. I suspect you don't because you've not bothered to venture out beyond the conspiracy subforums on to the rest of this board.

Again: Your premise is false. Demonstrably.

That's not news to any of us.

Can you link me to a spot where someone - anyone - said on a message board that the government never lies?

    OK groupthink, you have me curious;

    What exactly is your theory?

That the government pays people to post flattering things about them on internet web forums, and to attack/slander those who are conspiracy theorists or who display anti-government sentiments?

Or do you just believe that there are legions of government-loving drones who would do such a thing for free?

I can't decide which of the two scenarios is more far-fetched.

It all stems from the psychological flaws of conspiracy theorists. There is a pathological need to believe that everything bad that happens in the world is the work of a giant, slow-moving bureaucracy, because that means (by stopping the conspiracy) they can "prevent" future bad things from happening. To them, conspiracy is scary, yes, but more threatening is "anti-conspiracy," which is where bad (*)(*)(*)(*) just happens sometimes, and there's nothing that can be done to prevent it. They have a pathological need for order and simple "cause/effect" existence.

If you don't trust the Federal Reserve you are probably an anti-semite...Why do you think the ADL was formed? The answer is to combat anti-semites who dare to challenge the integrity of the Fed...You need to go to an ADL sensitivity program and rid yourself of hateful anti-semitism!!

I believe both types of people exist.

You act as if it were as complicated as God appearing before us.
