    We've strayed off topic.

Though I disagree with your conspiracy theory, I do believe aiding Assad is the best option.

Different comparison though. Russia's nation isn't allowing terrorists to operate. Afghanistan did.

What's your take on the refugee situation, Goomba? I imagine that your country is inundated with the people fleeing the fighting next door.

that was my point, a quick aerial strike may have made Afghanistan more willing to police ether own, two ten year wars have made matters worse

Do you have a link supporting this 80%? I don't see how you or anyone could, since I don't think anyone has had time to survey them, but maybe you do, so let's see it.

Refugees, typically, are children, women, elderly and younger men helping their families, in about that order. Beleagured Armies have little use for untrained men and especially their families, even in supporting roles they are still mouths to feed.

And just HOW do you propose to "round up" what is now well over a million people? let alone send them home?

Oh wait, I know, you have all these cattle cars

And on the way, we have these comfortable "camps"

And surely they all need a nice shower by now?

WHY does every conservative here always have the same "Solution" to just about every problem?

    If the jackboot fits....

The fact remains that there is really NO way you can gather and forcibly deport what is now approaching a million people without killing a rather substantial number of them, possibly close to all.

The same way we could do it here...when they show up for benefits, bingo! then off they go to the fist safe country they crossed. if they interact with the police, off they go. That will not get them all but there will be a lot fewer of them when the word gets out that applying for goodies will result in a ticket far away.

I read a stat today that only 1 in 5 of the 'refugees' are from Syria..the rest are economic goody hunters from half the rest of the world. Over 10% are from Albania, for God's sake. Why should Germany pay for Albanian economic migrants?

    Inevitably....

Ah, that's different from the article being cited, isn't it? They scuffles are are the serbian/crotian border towns. If the people are trying to get into crotia from serbia, it's a serbian issue as that's the country they are in. Anyway, the situation has shifted since posting. EU in crisis! heh.

Damn when one look back at 2001 and the middle east, one could say it was a peaceful place, with some minor Taliban problems.
Now it's all a hell hole. Even the tourist paradise Egypt is way way more dangerous place than back in the times.

Feel sorry for all those Americans soldiers who basically died for nothing at all.
And people haven't learned anything yet. That goes for our EU countries as well.
