I agree with this. trump has done terrible damage to the party and the body politic in general. He has made the country a less civil place and given rise to jerkwad politicians like matt gaetz. He ought to be loathed but not killed.

There is nothing to explain. Trump is not conservative, and there are Republicans who hate what he has done to the Republican party and the conservative cause. I personally know life long Republicans who are embarrassed by what he has done to the party.

I fired the M16 in Army basic back in 1974. We were hitting targets 300 yards away right of the bat. A zeroed weapon was crucial to make those long shots.

I wouldn't say they did nothing. The local police seemed to be confused and took time to respond effectively. I would chalk that up to the usual fog and low ranking street cops doing essentially traffic control not being instantly ready to respond to reports of a possible shooter without back up.
