When tyrants want to increase their power, they do so by forcing those who disagree with them to open up their purse strings.

Progressive have done their best to grab power through the current tax system with the IRS almost being above and beyond the law. And, an ineffective GOP has either gone along with or been unable to stand up to. The only way politicians will do anything to curb the IRS if it attacks more of them personally.

Sadly when the next regime takes control for the republicans, I will be just as outraged because you and your ilk will be targeted. I'm sure that's when you will be outraged

You should know that feeling quite well considering recent elections. Republicans can still do well in mid term elections, but they are in very serious trouble when it comes to winning the presidency. At least until they evolve on the issues that matter to Americans.

So funny coming from someone that has forgotten the past elections before Obama. You have no idea what all can happen in the next two years when the presidential election comes. The ignorance you display thinking your party controls all of the independents, which is the deciding vote

Is it now? I agree with conservatives on some issues. See, I actually decide for myself how I feel about each issue that comes up politically. I do not simply hold any party line. It's nice. Try it sometime. It's nice to not feel the need to agree with anyone/anything based on what party you are affiliated with. Most independents end up voting democrat or republican based on the lesser of two evils in Presidential elections. I have voted for Obama in each of the last two elections. While I'm not a big Obama fan (at all) I do still believe I made the right decision both times.

Try it sometime? Really? You don't read much of anything I post, because if you did, you would see that I am for gay marriage, I support background checks on everyone, and denial of anyone that has had even the slightest infraction of violence.

What I'm not for is our government keeping generation after generation living off the government teat, it destroys our nation. What I'm not for is left loons calling peaceful TEA Party protesters terrorists because they are sick of our government causing the government teat mentality, and spending money we don't have.

Those are just a few I mentioned that I support and I'm sure you don't, which clearly indicates what side your bread is buttered on

Even after the Lerner scandal, the IRS is still up to its crooked tricks. No doubt this is at the direction of the whitehouse. After all Breitbart is no doubt near the top of Obama's enemies list. When we are dealing with the crooks at the Whitehouse, expect crooked things to happen.

I may have confused you with another user here. If so, I apologize. I agree with what you said here. I am also for gay marriage, background checks for everyone, and refusal for violence. Many of those tea party folks are far from peaceful though. I hear them talk about starting an armed revolution over gun confiscation that isn't even happening. I do live in West Virginia though. People freely talk of wanting Obama dead here and call him HNIC and other racist names. I'm not exactly seeing the best folks the tea party has to offer here. I'll admit that.

Are you saying you have actually heard them say that about Obama? If you did, that is a felony and the authorities should be notified.

I have attended hundreds of TEA Party events, and I can assure that last thing I hear there is this is about a religious take over mentioned by other posters and other left wing loons. Carrying open carry is their rights, and as long as they obey the law, which they all have, I see no problem. I see the left attack the TEA Party constantly as them being terrorists, when in fact, none have been arrested at one single event.

This is an interesting fact the left don't want you to see:

In 1865 a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States .
In 1881 a left wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States who later died from the wound.
In 1963 a radical left wing socialist shot and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States .
In 1975 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at Gerald Ford, President of the United States .
In 1983 a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan, President of the United States .
In 1984 James Hubert, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 22 people in a McDonalds restaurant.
In 1986 Patrick Sherrill, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 15 people in an Oklahoma post office.
In 1990 James Pough, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 10 people at a GMAC office.
n 1991 George Hennard, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 23 people in a Luby's cafeteria in Killeen , TX .
In 1995 James Daniel Simpson, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 5 coworkers in a Texas laboratory.
In 1999 Larry Asbrook, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 8 people at a church service.
In 2001 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at the White House in a failed attempt to kill George W. Bush, President of the US .
In 2003 Douglas Williams, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people at a Lockheed Martin plant.
In 2007 a registered Democrat named Seung - Hui Cho, shot and killed 32 people in Virginia Tech.
In 2010 a mentally ill registered Democrat named Jared Lee Loughner, shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed 6 others.
n 2011 a registered Democrat named James Holmes, went into a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people.
In 2012 Andrew Engeldinger, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people in Minneapolis .
In 2013 a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza, shot and killed 26 people in a school in Newtown , CT.
As recently as Sept 2013, an angry Democrat shot 12 at a Navy ship yard.

Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns.

Not one NRA member, Tea Party member, or Republican conservative was involved in any of these shootings and murders.

As I understand it, it is not a crime to wish the President dead. It is a crime to say you're going to make it happen. You actually have to make a threat right? I've not heard actual threats. Otherwise I would absolutely call the FBI. I agree with you that many on the left exaggerate greatly the percentage of tea party people who are dangerous nutcases. They absolutely are there though. Especially in my neck of the woods.

I don't even think you can mention any harm to the president. As much as I disagree with Obama and find his continual blatant lies irritating, I would never want anyone to even think of threatening him. I may vehemently disagree with him all the time, but he is still the president of the United States.

There are goofy ass people in all shapes and flavors that do crazy stuff, but the vast majority of the TEA Party are normal Americans that are for a small controlled responsible government.

Just remember Obama said two loan agents working out of the Cincinnati office. Enough said. I don't believe another word the left says about this. We already know they lied about this. Sure but what they are saying NOW is the truth. Yea I'm not that dumb left wing. Try again

Is it being used as a political tool to harm people that disagree with your beliefs?
Maybe you haven't been audited. It cost thousand of dollars some times. I know I did and I lost three days of work dealing with these rude ass people. It cost me a ton of money. Still dealing with them today.

impossible to know if it is political or simply their time.

real businesses have book keepers and/or accountants, no real lost time or money as that is the role of those people.

still dealing with them today? sounds like wrong doing on your part.

my way is easier, I simply follow the rules without trying to be sneaky and pay my taxes.

The IRS has been politically motivated for decades!

In 1981, I started as an AMWAY distributor. AMWAY is a Canadian company. I only tried it for 3 years. Although I find the products quite impressive and living up to the promises, I was unable to put the time and effort into making it work.

In about 1983 or 4, the IRS claimed AMWAY was improperly registered in the USA and established addition rules - above and beyond the current tax code - to audit AMWAY distributors, especially those claiming use of part of their residences to operate the business.

The end results was that my taxes were audited every singe year from 1981 to 1995!

So, don't try to tell me the IRS is not politically motivated!!!!! :steamed:

Exactly and well said. Apparently, no IRS audits of any right wing political group or PAC is allowed for any reason whatsoever. They are immune by definition since they are the ONLY real Americans left in the nation. snark intended.
