The Bushehr plant took 35 years to build. In 1974 the West German company, Kraftwerk Union, began work on its construction. Russia has been working on its completion since 1995. The launch of this NPP was repeatedly postponed for a variety of reasons, including the computer network crash that took place in summer 2010. But even the belated launch of the Bushehr plant has become a major success for Iran. The emergence of a fully functioning nuclear power plant means that Tehran has joined the “nuclear club” of states with closed nuclear fuel cycles.

Some experts explain the unusually muted nature of the U.S. response as evidence of the depletion of their military and economic resources. But this explanation does not stand up to scrutiny. Nowadays, the Pentagon doesn’t have any troops to spare for a hypothetical occupation of Iran, in an Afghanistan or Iraq scenario. But it does boast sufficient carrier groups in the Indian Ocean for an air campaign to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities. In 1981, Israel struck a nuclear reactor in Osirak, Iraq, setting the country’s nuclear power program back significantly. The Americans are technically able to organize a re-run of that operation, this time – against Iran.

The “Iranian threat” issue can be used to justify the need for the U.S. anti-ballistic missile (ABM) system in Europe. Washington, of course, could develop this system without making any reference to Iran. But that would make the ABM system look like an explicitly anti-Russian move. Without the mention of Iran the United States would also find it more difficult to negotiate with Moscow on arms control issues and persuade its European allies that there is a genuine need for the ABM complexes to be located on their territory.

France Won't Rule Out Military Strike on Iran
9/28/2011, France may consider a pre-emptive military strike on Iran to stop its march towards obtaining a nuclear weapon of mass destruction.

IF the Israelis ARE mad enough to strike ANY Iranian nuclear facility which will no doubt MURDER Russian as well as Iranian scientists and workers then I hope the morons in Tel Aviv and Washington are ready for Putins response and every American man and woman between 18 and 55 is ready to sign up and put on a uniform for the mother of all firework displays raining over their heads. 9/11 will be nothing in comparison.

Your words are empty threats. Threats mean nothing to us. We are in the process of committing suicide. Don't interfere.

In Busheher there is just one nuclear power plant not anything more. Our Uranium enrichment centers are in Natanz and Fordo 90 meter under ground protected by concrete. Our nuclear activities are peaceful and except that some Zionist propaganda there is not any acceptable evidence to prove we are going to make nuke.
And who is threatening us? Israel???? And illegal regime who has 300 nukes and is not a member of IAEA?????
After first attack we will make our first nuke.

Thank you for the doubtful information.
There is nothing unreachable today (90 meters or 120 meters) human beings have also invented <earthquake missiles> that are capable of dislodging what has been erected illegally with the purpose of destroying civilization as we know it.

After Israel, Europe and America will be in jeopardy and your little shrimpidoo Ahmedinehandjob looking to put his name in the limelight's of history, like a fly flying around a fire will fall and will be stomped on like any one will stomp a scorpion.

No revived Hitler who will follow in the path of the Nazis destroying Democracies will at the end survive and reach his goal!...

What difference would it make to the United Stats if we were to bomb the Bushehr plant? It would have little affect on our lifestyle, economy...the media would have a field day but all we would really be doing is removing an economic/ military threat, if that is really what Iran is in the eyes of our government.

Pakistan is going to sell nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia when Iran becomes a nuclear weapons state. Many of Iran's neighbors will acquire nuclear weapons. They have no other way to maintain their independence.
