It must be a shame living your life unable to comprehend obvious sarcasm. You're missing out on so much, you have my pity.

Let me guess... the above is the first time.

The answer is: NONE. My body, like that of everyone else is not transparent, therefore no-one can 'see thru me'. Poor amateur scientist you are.

Why is it to be considered such a prideful thing that you glory in sarcasm? Admitting that you are engaging in nothing more than ridicule for the sake of ridicule... a very intelligent goal in life.... bravo for you.

I see you are also keeping your mind tied up in the fantastic imaginations that unveiled in Hollywood. You desire to ridicule those that don't share your enjoyment of Hollywood, while equal ridicule is reserved for your personal account.

Again, no. I don't want to ridicule those that don't share my enjoyment of Hollywood. In fact I mainly ridicule people that I think are acting like oafs. I'm not here to mock people, but oafish behaviour deserves nothing more.

But, if you merely 'think are acting like oafs' and you don't have the necessary PROOF to show that they are oafs, then you are not only ridiculing them, but you are launching a personal attack against them. So, in essence, you are admitting to declaring that some people on this forum are 'stupid'? Be a man about it and name those people that you think are 'stupid'.

'If' is an indication of uncertainty. What are you uncertain about? Are you not convinced about what you are stating? Are you having second thoughts on this matter?

    My dog's bigger'n yours
My dog's bigger cause he eats kennel rations....

Oh sorry, I misread the OP.

My god's biggern' your god - nah it doesn't work. I don't have a god and I sure as hell don't believe in a 2,000 year old book written but profoundly ignorant barbarians.

I am providing him with the opportunity to clarify his intent.... therefore, my uncertainty is a professional courtesy extending to him the opportunity to either show his certainty or to establish the fact that he was indeed totally uncertain about his claim.... ya know... speaking through ignorance of the subject matter. Of course it is gonna be very difficult for him to say that he was 'uncertain' when he used such terminology as "In fact I mainly ridicule people that.....". Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Why is it considered such a prideful thing that you glory in solipcism, equivocation and obfuscation? Is this not merely mocking others, like a Jinn does?

Yes! What you printed is a matter of mocking others, like a Jinn does.

Yet again, no surprise, you're wrong. I don't think anyone here is stupid. I think that they sometimes everyone will act in a stupid way. Including myself. And when they do, I have no moral qualms with using sarcasm to joke about it.

Ahhh... then your comment about the 'oafish behavior' was not directed at anyone in particular and was inclusive of yourself... very well... Now for the more important part.... what particular "oafish" (or stupid) behavior are you speaking about? Also who is performing such behavior?

    Absolutely!

I find focusing primarily on pedantic linguistic concerns during what is supposed to be a discussion of religious matters to be rather oafish. Just my opinion, of course.

Well, you are right.... it is an opinion... not worth any more or any less than the opinion of someone else. It would be helpful however, should you be a little more specific in your concerns. You stated that you are focusing primarily on pedantic linguistic concerns. When did such things become a concern to you? Why are such things a concern to you? I can see no harm in such things when other scientific matters are likewise consistently displayed in this religious forum and in what is religious matters. Why does your concern not also include those other scientific intrusions into the religious matters?

Oh dear, you're wrong yet again I'm afraid.

That is not what I stated. It's a shame you are too poor at English comprehension to understand what I stated. I mean, it must be that your comprehension is lacking - after all, I wouldn't want to accuse anyone of telling untruths, would I?

By all means though, continue burying the thread with inane pedantry, and not only avoiding but actively discouragin meaningful discussion from taking place.

There is no such thing as a "scientific intrusion," unless having reality shoved in your face is somehow offensive to you.

This is actually a good viewpoint. As an Atheist I know that according to statistics people of faith live longer than "non-believers". They are happier, because the obviously are not confronted with the issue of "I don't understand this" because their answer is "this is Gods work", while an Atheist works on the question "Why?" and "can I prove it". I envy people who believe in God. I really do. Every time I run into something I can't explain I have the urge to figure it out, while religious people just relax on the beach and except that it's an "act of God". The simpler anser makes life maybe better...
