So the government had a deal with insurance companies to cancel the plans otherwise it wouldn't allow them to participate in the exchanges. Mod edit...flounder

My wife's plan was canceled, and the new Obamacare plan shot up 100% with less coverage. I have Veterans healthcare, and I wish I could get her on my coverage, but I can't because I'm not disabled

YES....many will lose current policies, this was an expected and obvious result when medical insurance is changed.

There will be many sob stories, and many people that are damaged during this massive change in the system...some are going to suffer because of it.

The many will benefit, and though we will watch insurance companies do everything they can to continue a profit at our expense....just as with medicare ...social security...Medicaid...or a plethora of attempts to reign in this industry, in time they will be forced to adapt to the new reality and with any luck we will all benefit in the long run.

Time will tell.....but some do not wish to allow time to do it's job.

    Come up with something better.

Umm but she did get dropped because of Obamacare.

Well, considering that this woman was getting care, and was able to live her life while having stage 4 cancer, the plan she had before Obamacare was better.

We will all benefit in the long run because you say so? That is the best you can do? Hardly a compelling argument. It is downright laughable that you think you are going to be able to do what Obama and company have failed to do and convince people that Obamacare is anything other than an unmitigated disaster. Even the thrill up the leg boys are starting to realize how much of a mistake the ACA is.

In California, people who have purchased HSA plans since March 2010 will find their plans cancelled next year and (if their insurance company isn't leaving the state like United Health Care etc.) will have it replaced with the "comparable" ACA compliant plan. Now I realize that low IQ people will think the ACA plans are better, but, needless to say, they would be wrong. The "comparable" ACA plans are both more expensive and generally have higher out-of-pocket limits as well. For example, my neighbor's plan had a $3,600 limit. I would ask you what his limit would be for an HSA plan under the ACA, but you know as well as I do that you know literally nothing about the ACA plans that are magically going to benefit everyone in the long run. So I will tell you. It is going from $3,600 to, that's right, $6,350. So if he ends up in the hospital, it will cost him almost twice as much under these ACA plans that the most ignorant people have actually been fooled into thinking are so wonderful.

Sure he is. Another stage 4 cancer patient they can put in the ground and not have to pay for.

I am not cheering it at all. I am just simply agreeing with the woman, who wrote a letter to Obama.

She is being denied care because the insurance coverage they are offering her will not pay for her current treatments, hospitals or doctor.

Expressing personal opinion is not a claim of fact....something many here should take to heart. My opinion is as factual and accurate as your own, the difference being that I project is as my opinion and you seem to think your post is verified fact. I made it very clear Edit/Unnecessary comment that the ACA will adversely effect many, yet you seem to ignore this and continue the attack on reality.

I get it....you hate the idea. Perhaps it might be time to accept it as law, deal with the bad parts, and fix it where possible.

I am sorry your Mom is dying of Cancer and that she is upset.....But I don't much care that one person has a problem considering the millions who will benefit.

You earlier post stated everyone would benefit. I see your opinion has now "evolved" to how millions would benefit. What exactly changed with Obamacare in the last couple of hours that caused cause your previously absurd assertion that everyone would benefit to some portion of the people would benefit?

Repeating that what you are saying is "factual and accurate" is ridiculous when you haven't given any facts. Your argument amounts to Obamacare is good because you say so.

Here are more actual facts for you. It certainly isn't saving everyone $2,500 a year as promised. People are clearly losing their plans which Obama promised wasn't going to happen. The plans are not necessarily better as promised. In fact, as I illustrated earlier, in many, if not most cases, the plans are drastically worse. It isn't creating millions of jobs as promised. Many people are losing their doctors because their doctors will no longer be part of their new plan's network. Didn't Obama promise otherwise? None of that is opinion.

You see, the liberals on this very forum have been arguing for years now that we need Obamacare for the very reasons that have turned out to be nothing but lies. Since it clearly isn't accomplishing what they said it will accomplish we now apparently need Obamacare for some other nebulous set of reasons that you, the rest of the liberals here, the current administration and the buffoons in the legislature that voted for it are unable to cite.

Clearly she was far far far better off before Obamacare as were MILLIONS of Americans. It's pathetic that the Liberals here refuse to answer that question.

I bet they will vote in 2014 and 2016.

Obama lied to everyone in America, on more than 30 occasions. That is a fact, and its more than a mere claim.
