Cain is just chiming in like ever other single candidate on this N#$#@ Head issue. It's not as if he made the charge during a debate..... He was just answering a reporters questions. The content of what he said varies little from any of the other candidates' responses. This is Perry's issue. It should have a neutral effect on Cain.
I heard Mitt Romney called him a racist too.... well not really, he said the same thing Cain said......but righties heard racist.
Get your facts straight, it is not his rock and it was painted over long ago. So either prove Perry painted it on there or else what is the issue here?
sorry, righty rents a rock. better? NOBODY has said he painted it. and the issue is Herm finds it insensitive....havent you been paying attention?
No, they rent hunting rights to the land. Then what is the issue. Well since we don't know when it was painted of by whom that may or may not be the case, if it was painted on their during Mark Twains day it was not unusual at all, but the fact remains the Perry's or someone was sensitive enough to paint over it.
I think he is backing off and learning a good lesson, don't take the Washington Post or other liberal news outlet at the word when they are trying to smear Republicans.
I do not think Rick Parry is a racist. But with everything I've seen, including his apparent decision to, as a politician, hunt in a place called (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)Head, I do think Parry is an idiot.
No it doesn't, they only rented the hunting rights to the land. But let's say for a moment that Perry's father wrote that on the rock, and every Saturday they walked by it while hunting and Perry's father spoke of blacks in racist terms and this went on for twenty years and Perry even as an adult still voluntarily went on those hunting trips and listened to that racist speech. Would it disqualify him from being President?
agree with all of the above. but I figured he was an idiot when he told republicans they were heartless and "concerned about the sound of someones last name" when discussing illegals.
Well don't try to think of an obtuse answer this time and try again But let's say for a moment that Perry's father wrote that on the rock, and every Saturday they walked by it while hunting and Perry's father spoke of blacks in racist terms and this went on for twenty years and Perry even as an adult still voluntarily went on those hunting trips and listened to that racist speech. Would it disqualify him from being President? Else what is your point here?
that it is insensitive in herman cains opinion... you could have read the op and saved me the time of explaining the thread to you.
The "don't have a heart" thing demonstrates that he's even an idiot politically. He should have stuck to the "we've executed more people in Texas than any other state!" stuff. 1) Know your audience....first rule of a politician. He flunked it.
Are you that young and naive to think politicians won't say anything to score a few points. Regardless of what letter they stick behind their name? Hang around a few more years. Politicians all lie, they all cheat, and they all will do whatever it takes to get $$$$ and votes.
I'm asking you your opinion, try again But let's say for a moment that Perry's father wrote that on the rock, and every Saturday they walked by it while hunting and Perry's father spoke of blacks in racist terms and this went on for twenty years and Perry even as an adult still voluntarily went on those hunting trips and listened to that racist speech. Would it disqualify him from being President? Else what is your point here?
no of course it wouldnt disqualify him. im here to discuss Cains take on it, how it affects both campaigns etc.... do I need to check in with you on each thread regarding my intent?
I wonder if Cain even cares about whether the rock story was true or not. He saw an opportunity to take a shot at a rival and he jumped on it.
Why would he not think its true? it was on the front page of the washington post and Perry is not denying it whatsoever...
First, the Post is a liberalrag. Second, Perry explained that it was there when his father leased the ground in 83, and they painted over it. Besides, the connotation of the word was not only a racial slur.
