Get off it. NO ONE has to report ANY crime what so ever unless they are in certain positions like healthcare or some government job. You cannot force the general populace to report anything. That has been standard procedure for longer than either of us have been alive. Pastors et al are just like you and me. It wouldn't do any good anyways because such people would just not "confess" once its known that priests are required to report such. At least with a confessional a priest might be able to help stop the behavior whereas the cops might never find out.

 

Oh yes, criminal priests are really going to report themselves because of a law demanding that they report criminals.

If you meant just some random Republican who had no ability to enforce policy, then your claim was empty to the point of being very misleading, given that the topic is Democrat LAWMAKERS blocking an effort to make child sex trafficking a serious felony.

The State of California is irreversibly broken. What happened to the secession movement to remove this Failed State from the union? These waste of space politicians failed to protect the vulnerable of their own community, because they didn't understand the meaning of long-term incarcerations. The point is to keep these harmful actors far away from our communities. I wish they had as much care about the common man and woman of California, as they do the criminals inside of the State.

I keep saying this but who cares, right: it just blows my mind how anyone who lives in (what was once “our” wonderful country) could just ignore this, much less support or defend ANY politician who ignores this.

We as civilized people are supposed to protect those who are incapable of protecting themselves, such as animals, the elderly, and children who cannot defend themselves.

Politicians, (ON BOTH SIDES) are wrecking this country and “we the people” are more interested in fighting with each other than trying to actually send a message to these corrupt politicians that we are done submitting to their BS.
