California man breaks into Jewish family's home, threatens to kill them, yells 'Free Palestine'

Hate has no boundaries. I believe we will see this hate spread throughout the US on both sides of issue. By letting hate speech permeate US universities this will only intensify. When a Columbia University professor goes on social media accusing the Dean of not protecting Jewish students by letting pro-Palestine protestors yell chants of violence and threats we know this "right to hate speech" is putting all Americans in danger.

A Jewish family's home in Los Angeles was broken into by a man repeatedly yelling, "Free Palestine," police said.

The Los Angeles Police Department said that they received a call from the homeowners at around 5:30 a.m. saying that someone had broken into their home and that they were hiding in a room with their four children.

A short while later, the frightened homeowners called police for a second time, saying that the male suspect was threatening to kill them because they were Jewish.

The family had mezuzahs, which are pieces of parchment inscribed with Hebrew verse from the Torah, on their doors, police said.

When the LAPD arrived at the family's home, they arrested a male suspect, who was dressed in just his undergarments at the time of his arrest.

"Free Palestine, free Palestine, free Palestine," the suspect was heard repeatedly saying as was being taken into custody.

 

I would have shot him dead.

 

California is not a "stand your ground" state. Dems create a safe place for criminals. Not so safe for families.

 

California is a Castle Doctrine state.

Since he threatened to kill them in their home, they had the legal right to shoot him dead, and had no obligation to flee.

I agree there is no room for hate speech, but plenty of your posts about political hate by RWers is rarely if ever called out.

 

Several stories lately have made me want to load my shotgun and have it hidden under the bed. Trigger lock would still be installed.

How do these nutjobs even know a person religious affiliations? I wouldn't know a Jewish person from a Baptists, Catholic, Mormon or guy on the street.

If someone enters your home and threatens you, even Californians are allowed to shoot to kill. The "stand your ground" concept covers you when you are not in your home, or the intruder does not actually enter your home.

What kind of measures would to take to stop such speech in Universities. By introducing "forbidden topics" list maybe? We already have that in Florida. Also, when you blame universities, what exactly are you talking about.

There is no such thing has "hate speech". Only speech that you hate. I may hate the speech of pro-Palestine protestors. But they have every Right to say what they do. And I guarantee that this idiot did not do what he did because of those protestors. 1: The guy was obviously drunk/high out of his mind. Going around in ones underwear is a good indication of that. He more than likely would not have had the courage to do what he did if it wasn't for that. 2: This guy has probably hated Jewish people for years. You don't grow hateful against a whole group of people just by hearing a few protests. Other things were no doubt involved.

 

You might want to check my post in the Maine shooter thread. I call the shooter out as possibly targeting pro-Palestinian folks since the nearby Bates College students have been pro-Palestinian supporters since 2021. If my posts break any rules please feel free to report me.
