Equally funny is how those who advocated a Texit are now laughing at Californians for the same nonsense. Irony?

The only people spreading hatred are actually liberals and leftists. But of course, you deliberately ignore it and tried to assign blame to a side which has nothing to do with burning cities down and destroying public property.

On the contrary -- I am all for California leaving. Adios, muchacos!
You, as a sovereign state have the right -- exercise it! Get off your ass and leave!
Don't just whine about it -- go!

Texas vs. White ruled secession unconstitutional. That's where it ends.

Sounds like you need to tell the people on the West Coast.

Texas' big mistake when joining was no "pre-nup!"

It's only the population centers that want this. Most of the state is red. Northern California and most of Oregon and Washington would not allow it. Not worried about it really. I'm more worried about the laws that the state passes.

The cries of a few sore losers. That's all the talk from Texas and Cali ever was.

Most of the counties are red. Most of the people voted Blue. An important distinction.

Well, at least we have a president now who is an expert in pre nups.

It will be very tmelling to see what kind of people President-elect Trump surrounds himself with in his cabinet, and what type of people he will put forth for consideration for the SCOTUS. For example, after Obama was elected, as soon as he chose a Goldman-Sachs lackey, Tim Geithner for Secretary Of Treasury, I knew that he was in the bag for the corporate war profiteers. If Trump makes a similar choice, it will become pretty clear that his populist appeal was just hollow rhetoric. I have heard that John Bolton, who is the definition of neoCON on steroids and a de facto Israeli mole is being considered as a high ranking cabinet member. If he is brought into the fold, we will definitely know that we have been had again. Then we can fully expect Trump's choices for the SCOTUS will be the standard bible thumping corporate lackeys that have ruled for decades in favor of corporate raiders and against working Americans at every turn. I hope I am wrong and that Trump will fulfill his "America First" promises and surround himself with America Firsters instead of Israeli Firsters like Bolton....

Then remember that you are talking to one that does. And yes.....we would suggest they follow their belief. That is of their own accord.

If you did not know that this country has never been more divided than it is now, then you need to listen more closely to whats being said. As both sides of our divide speak on it....intently.

And yes.....the left does fear that Civil War, and Rightly so. As their odds of winning it, is practically nil. But then they should have thought about that before acting like an enemy. While treating those that don't think as they do.....like one.

Whatever you say. I spent a fair time studying early neo cons some years ago and without question one of their main aims was the creation of a feeling of nationalism to hold the people together and get rid of liberalism.
You are unaware of the 60's I think. I was here living them.

This is irrelevant to the neo cons desire to use religion as a vehicle of control and to bring that control to politics. The rest of the West was giving up religion. The US is the major place where it has been upheld and brought into politics as they wanted.
You had the explosion of free ideas due to the Western world for the first time having a situation where freedom of speech and democracy was the norm. During this time you had the United States attacking students on campuses killing them. You had the youth of the western world very much together working for a better world and change. Not all of that was good. It was experimentation and experimentation does not always show itself to be the best but it was, I think for the only time, people thinking for themselves and acting and in revolt. Now this is what the neocons saw as the danger of 'liberalism' and what they believed must be stopped. I imagine being a Nationalist none of this would have met with your approval and it would have taken away the world you wanted. In that way your thinking is in tune with the neo cons. Yes, the Vietnam war was there as part of that. TV had just reached the majority of people who did not get turned on by seeing naked children running down the street being burnt alive or summary executions of people who were no threat. Of course those in authority quickly learned to change this so that we no longer see their brutality including the killing of journalists who choose to try to report independently.. The 60's was a time when so many new things were happening that the elite had not yet found how to keep them secret and people were moved by their humanity to other civilians regardless of where they came from - something I dare say which will not turn on a Nationalist but something, along with hiding the truth, which was very important to neo con's in order to stop this behaviour!

really - what new left is this. You believe civil rights workers were violent and intimidating. Some turned that way after the assassination of MLK. I think you are just making things up now.

I am not sure of the situation in the US. It is however true that a lot of political activity happened from Universities and that certainly the 'Hippy Movement' was mainly MC. However in the UK, the working class, the blue collar worker if you will, was highly political. We were experiencing our greatest social mobility ever. I would be surprised if the same in the US were just passive wanks. Really surprised. See in those days people, in the US as well, had Unions they joined which gave them a political education and solidarity to work for change.

You have made up this 'New Left' concept as a scapegoat.
Oh well that is the states, not here....but you know what, I don't believe you.
now I know you are not telling the truth.

So I take it this is all about White Nationalism. I did not say the neo cons were into white Nationalism. There is civic Nationalism as well as ethnic Nationalism.

The view outside your tower of whatever colour it is, is that the only hope is that he meant not a word he said. I appreciate though that white Nationalists have had a long wait and you must be feeling really turned on. Unfortunately the US has such a slim white majority that I do not see that going anywhere - so dream while you can.

Exactly what makes you believe that this leaves them outside of 'real america' Despite Trumps win more people voted for Clinton. If you believe that only the people who voted for Trump are Americans then clearly you do not have the first idea of what democracy is. Even Trump claimed he would be President for all the people though I think he destroyed that possibility before being elected. It looks very possible that we will see a rise in fascism in the US at the same time as the US loses it's position in the world. Now, just like in the 30's, this is something which may take off throughout the Western world. If that is so then we know what to expect. I am pretty safe where I live. No one is raising that ugly voice here.

what you talking about here mate? Forced to give blacks and women equal rights. That sort of thing. Yup that is what has been going on but the US of course has only recently given up it's white supremacy....and in reality it's anti jew hatred - you know the people who developed the cultural Marxism which you have been so upset by ;)

So what will the US do. Support Israel and deport her Jews there?

Breibart is known as such a scam site I am not going to waste my time looking at your link.

Well obviously if they insulted and denigrated people then they have no right to expect their vote. That however is no reason to turn fascist and according to you earlier, American blue collard workers are spineless wimps who have never politically worked for anything in their life. No surprise given what you have said about them that they find themselves in the situation they are in....apart from that the US is in basically the same situation as all of the Western world. Democracy was taken over by Globalisation and people find it is not working for them and want change. The kind of change they get will be what they deserve. If they want fascism I guess that is what they will give to their children. If they want a more humanitarian society then that is what they will give. I think the US more than any other State also faces the very real possibility of civil war they way it is going. You cannot continue for very long having such a divide and the hate I witness on the internet.

What fantasy is this now. Sanders will just continue being himself
I agree that some of Sanders supporters are angry with him for giving so much support for Hilary and I am not surprised. Both of your main political parties have problems. However you seem to see things in very black and white ways. People are all shades of grey with all kinds of different components which make up who they are and the choices they made. It is likely that as people find they do not get what they want from Trump they will move away. New things may well spring up. White Nationalism and fascism is not the only alternative.

Like I said the US could move towards civil war.

American Nationalist, you need to be very careful about projecting yourself onto everyone else.

What on earth is going on with you here?

Well forgive me if my believe that it is because he was half black has just been reinforced.

To be honest being against racism is only a problem when you are talking to a racist.

Let me try to guess what you are saying because you appear to be talking in riddles. Something to do with slaves and black presidents. You believe the US is so racist that there is no way anyone but a racist can again be President. Let me point out that being part of a demography which will soon become a minority promoting racism is not a good idea.

You clearly believe that the US is involved in a race war.

No idea what wall you are talking about. The one Trump is going to build?

and you have never forgiven them?

I will say here I do not deny that the American System has problems just like most of the Western world does. I just find your believe that it is all caused by race....well racist.

OMG. Now you are really getting into your supremacist mode. The UK brought in free medical treatment after WW2 as part of a series of agreed measures to stop revolution. ;) We only stopped paying the US for loans it had given us in WW2 about ten years ago. No, our NHS has nothing to do with you and everything to do with us choosing to pay a proportion of our earnings as an insurance as happens in all other European countries - nothing to do with the Marshal plan to stop starvation and bring hope to a destroyed Western Europe in order to stop it moving towards the Soviet Union.

Putin already has his eye on the ball and it likely won't be long till he has Eastern Europe back curtsey of Trump. What on earth makes you believe he would want to chat about it. Now if Western Europe moves to the right as the US has, then Putin will also take it as outlined by Dugan's plan. Within that it does not particularly want the UK believing that due to being an Island the UK will always be more liberal but also does not want the US. While claiming to have nothing against US citizens, the intent is to leave the US isolated in the world. Now here I think we have something which does fit in with Trump's position. However I would suggest it offers a pretty poor future for the US.

I thought the point of NATO was to protect the US from the Soviet block.
If push comes to shove you may find as I said above that Russia will say, thanks but no thanks.

Basically the cowards way for you. Set in motion the aggression and run leaving others to die for your deeds.
No, the reason you aligned to Europe was to stop Europe integrating with Russia. I have a feeling you are not very informed on this and more than a little 'proud' and as you know pride comes before a fall, particularly misplaced pride.

You are waffling now and this is long enough. I must get on with other things.

The crybaby belly aching is deafening.

THIS is why we have to teach kids how to lose, that not everybody is the winner, and that sometimes you don't get your way.

We have whole generations of people simply unable to cope with the fact that they didn't get their way. Its really quite sad.

And for those who tell Tehas to go ahead?
They will use the same currency as Tehas would have to use. Same as Tehas having to protect their borders.
No differences. Just a different state.

The hypocrisy is on both sides here. For those chiding Ca for their goofiness are some of the same folks that would like Tehas to secede.
Oh well, what's one to do.

Louis Marinelli, an outspoken political activist and president of Yes California, envisions California as a sovereign entity within the US, much like Scotland in the United Kingdom.

    LMAO

So he wants his cake and eat it too. He wants to have his own country in California, but not be restricted by the Constitution of the United States or its inherent protections/responsibilities.

You make California its own country, then laterz. No military, no nothing from the fed. Put up a wall, and sign a embargo. We don't need California like they need us. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

We're not laughing, we're ecstatic. Please do it. All Liberal counties and townships can very kindly create their own country. We've had enough of your 'America' where you publish 'Angry white men'. We want to move forward constructively. As you can see, no mobs in Trump universe. We're kinder people.

Heh, once someone works out the bill it would cost California to pay for it's share of the national debt, it will never happen. Frankly, it wouldn't happen without the national debt. Does anyone think California is capable of picking up the costs of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for it's citizens? No way.

I do think it's funny is that the last time the Democrats had a secession tantrum after losing an election was in 1860. I hope they don't try to repeat the same mistake.

    Let them go.
Let them use their own water to grow their own food
Let them tax silicon valley to fund their state. See how long it takes to lose their tax base.

It would've the easiest civil war ever fought. One side have guns and been shooting for years, the other side think if they scream very loud the bad men will go away. Not that I want a civil war. In fact if they want to leave they can have California.

A country without an independent power grid.

    Lol.

Texas has a better chance at surviving a secession than California could ever hope for.
