The United States' debt is over $16 Trillion dollars and counting. We are a nation with more debt than domestic product yieldings. Donald Trump's policies are pushing that debt ever higher with nothing to show for it but wealthier CEO's and stock investors. Is this the road to real and lasting, "Greatness"???

The US debt is over $21 trillion. The largest foreign holder of that debt is China. China holds just under 8% of the total debt, or around $1.2 trillion. If the USA decides to arbitrarily cancel that debt just what is China going to do? Go to war with the US? That's already happening. I know of no other enemy state that holds a large portion of our debt. So, that action of cancelling the debt owed to China would have no effect on other nations.

China can't win a shooting war with the US so they are ****ed. Good.

LOL! Hoping you don't offer kicking your potential creditor's a$$ as the collateral on your next secured loan application.... BTW~ China is hoping we continue building legacy military equipment because they say they know how to jam our communications. So what are WE gonna do if China decides to knock out our entire financial and civilian power grid (halting ALL virtual monies, holdings, and transactions) just for laughs maybe even while surrounding us with long-range, nuclear armed, stealth bombers? Or maybe they'll just distract our new recruits with a free double bacon cheeseburger with extra large fries... And you think we can just cancel them out?!?!?! LOL!!! ... Lemme guess... you voted for Trump didn't you? Hahahah! :)

Yes, I did vote for Trump.

Yes, we can cancel out this debt.

China does not have the military power to attack and defeat the USA.

China is and has been at war with the USA for a couple of decades. That we don't see this nor understand it, is to the advantage of China.

So you think the Chinese would choose a global depression and the destruction of their own economy to "hurt" us? There is no Chinese prosperity without the USA's good will. No export oriented country can afford to lose us as a customer. NO economy in the world can afford for our banking system and and virtual economy to disappear. We would not even have to lift a finger, half the world would declare war on China for destroying THEIR economy in the process of hurting us.

And the other half would join in with China.
