Employers should be legally allowed to fire employees who come to work under the influence of marijuana, heroin, cocaine or any other substance. Legalizing these substances would mean employers would lose that right, and would then be responsible for workplace accidents that occur while their employees are impaired. People will die, and employers will be sued for millions, and yet they will be helpless to fire their employees who are under the influence.

    Really?

    Really??

Alcohol is legal, does that mean I can show up at work and not worry about getting fired for doing so?? EXCELLENT!! I'm going to stay up all night and get (*)(*)(*)(*)faced, and when I show up at work tomorrow, with no sleep and a BAC of .35 or so that he doesn't have the right to fire me. I thank you so much for sharing this tip!!

Drunkeness doesn't last more than a night and is cleared up by morning, with a hangover.

The other substances mentioned stay in the system, and the person can be impaired the next day when he goes to work.

Hold them responsible for their actions.
