He was smart enough to know the rules, know that he couldn't win CA or NY or IL,,, so he didn't campaign there. Should basketball players know in advance that making a low percentage shot will yield 3 points as opposed to 2? If the law was different, Trump would have campaigned in CA, NY and IL and he would have won the popular vote as well as the electoral college vote. The law being the law, he was smart enough to spend money where he had to and not spend money where he couldn't win. Is that so hard to understand?

Questionable. The State vote is supposed to reflect the voters of the State. The popular vote effort would change the State's vote based on other States; thus, disenfranchising their own States voters.

Since there are not enough states that have passed this there is probably no legal standing to protest it but if enough states do pass it then it will end up in court.

 

Easy, the system is set up to protect minority states. Five counties in the country do not get to decide who is President.

 

It depends on the recipe they read and internalized. Nowhere in the constitution is the national popular vote given value. The Federal papers explain clearly why a national popular vote would sink the country and was avoided by the founders.

Since their votes aren't going to be counted under the new regime to undermine the electoral college, people in the states that opted to give their voter's rights away should stay home.

any employee paid by America tax dollars is an employee of the American people and should not be signing a Trump NDA to never say anything negative about Trump, his family or his businesses ever, even after they leave office... Trump wants to sue people for telling the truth about what happened in his administration, his family and his businesses... did he make this latest wife sign a NDA too, what about his children?

He knew the law and, unlike Hillary, had 2 neurons to rub together. He would have beaten Hillary if the law was different and he campaigned in the handful of states with a high volume of parasitic voters. The law was the law and he campaign where he campaigned and all the temper tantrums you clowns throw aren't going to change centuries old laws.

 

Why would all 50 states even think about doing that?
