Cancer is finally cured in Canada but Big Pharma has no interest

Same as with terrorism, computer viruses, welfare, and a bunch of other things. my personal example is how my father had to pay $1,100 for a doctor visit to get a prescription to buy eye drops - something that should not cost more than 50 cents.

I'm getting closer to one day joining those who say f capitalism. not that I'm against, it but there HAS to be the OTHER side, not just a mockery of it.

 

Big Pharma can't make money if you're healthy.

 

This is not a cure to cancer, but rather a potentially powerful anti-cancer drug. I support continued research on its effectiveness.

Canada has Universal Socialist Health care, that means they aren't capable of the medical innovation necessary to find a cure for cancer, since socialism doesn't offer competition which is motivated by profit.

Under capitalism, there is competition to get rich, and that spurs medical research for cancer cures which makes the OP null and void of facts..

Cancer was cured in 1993 by Burzynski(sp), a Doctor from Europe.

He discovered Anti-neopeptides.

Big Pharma has persecuted him through the mechanism of the U.S. Patent Office since then.

We know that. This thread is about a potential cure that big pharma will denounce and wants nothing to do with. Medicines for treatments are more profitable than medicines for cures. That's how big pharma looks at it. They will lose too much if they get behind a medicine that has a strong potential to "cure" anything.

 

Yeah right. What big pharma doesnt want to do is spend (*)(*)(*)(*) loads of money developing a drug that will never pay off the initial investment in research and developement. Once that's done they will cheerfully line up to buy the licencing and distribution rights from whoever did make the investments if the drug pans out which isn't guaranteed by any stretch of the imgination and it's probably a minimum of five years before the testing and trials are done.

Burzinski is a quack and his neopeptides have been studied to death both hear and in Europe and found to be pretty much useless.

 

Lol the name itself " big pharma " scares the hell out of me, it sounds like " big money on your health ". People should get wiser and buy only strictly necessary products. Otherwise " big money " will get so big it will swallow little people, that's the ultimate goal of wild capitalism.

But curing cancer is like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube; putting shaving cream back into the can; drilling a hole in water; threading a needle from 100 yards; or sweeping back the tide with a broom. It cannot be done.

For a while, big pharmacies were spending billions on research to find more effective ways to prevent and control active cancers, and they were in fact about to get a handle on it. However, Democrats forced them to share their highly expensive research with little companies who had no research capability. Therefore, it wasn't worth big pharmacies to continue to spend billions to fight and prolong cancer, so now no one is looking for ways to control it.

So now, we're all gonna suffer and die from cancer -- it's the Democrat-socialist way. We're all a big Democrat family -- share the diseases and be happy!

There is no cure for cancer. Cancer is a genetic defect, not a disease. The only way it can truly be cured, is if we are able to remove the find and remove the gene. We haven't even found the cancer gene yet.

 

If it works, why would it be cheap? The marginal cost of a drug usually has little to do with its cost. Did this treatment require research costs? Will it undergo regulatory costs? Will it have to be patented? If yes, then it has already cost millions and will take millions more to bring to market. There is no such thing as cheap in medicine.
